Does anyone out there who is close to this legislation have brief sample letters that we could use?

Something like this should do the trick:
Governor Craig Benson
Office of the Governor
25 Capitol Street
Concord, NH 03301
Dear Governor Benson,
I am writing to let you know that the New Hampshire Commission on the Status of Men is still in need of two more appointments and that your nominations are urgently needed. This is a groundbreaking Commission and I support its mission to address critical issues such as men's health, fatherlessness, and education.
The men of New Hampshire and their loved ones have a lot to gain from the work that this Commission can do. Many people from out of state are also looking to this Commission to set a precedent for similar efforts in their own states. The only thing hampering progress right now is the need for all of the members to be appointed.
Please make these nominations as soon as possible. I also urge you to carefully consider the applications of Michael Geanoulis and Scott Garman, both of whom have shown a great deal of energy and creativity in advocating for men's issues while dealing with limited financial resources. I believe they would be excellent Commission members.
Thank you for your time,
YOUR NAME
-------------------------
You can leave out the specific appointment suggestions if you'd like. I hate for this to seem so self serving but the fact that we received so many dangerous nominations last year from our former governor makes me feel the need to promote specific people this time to avoid a similar situation.
Thanks,
Scott

It looks good, Scott.
I edited it a little and printed it out.
It will be in tomorrow's mail.
