“As a feminist, pornography is degrading to women and creates a violent atmosphere,” she said.”

It’s not pornography it’s art. You know, like the “Vagina Monologue.”

“Men think they have the right to force that on you,” she said. “It’s a logical extension.”

Some men think they have a right to rape, but the majority don’t. This comment reflects the prejudice of a bigoted mind, and the ongoing effort to demonize all men because of the actions of a few.

Oh my, I forgot some Women’s Studies curriculums teach that all heterosexual relations are the #1 oppressor of women, and I have even heard it said that some radical feminist preach that all sex between a woman and a man is rape. Is this the perception that this “feminist” holds?

"Women’s Studies Lecturer Diane L. Rosenfeld, who teaches Women, Violence and the Law this semester, said that the implications of the snow phallus go beyond the legitimacy of the statue’s presence.
“The ice sculpture was erected in a public space, one that should be free from menacing reminders of women’s sexual vulnerability,” Rosenfeld wrote in an e-mail yesterday."

Title IX sets forth that sexual harassment is in the eyes of the beholder, and that sexual harassment is based on what a reasonable woman would assume.

Oh my, forget everything I said above I’m just a man. I forgot you have to have rights before you can exercise them. As men we’re all just 2nd class citizen’s that the equal protection and equal justice spoken of in the U. S. constitution doesn’t apply to. Any freedom of expression that men still have will soon be taken away by the fascist onslaught of feminazi indoctrination going on in the Women’s Studies programs in our colleges. These Women’s Studies programs are the seedbeds of the feminist bigotry that goes on to become policy and law (like Title IX). They are like a cancer eating away at any semblance of gender justice or gender equality in our society. As one sign that I have says, “FEMINIST LIES MAKE BAD LAWS.”

If that's true, then to be fair and equal about it they're going to have to stop all those women who wear mini-skirts -- once the weather warms up, of course -- from doing so. It's both "menacing" and "reminder-ing" (to me at least). I think the style popular in certain parts of the Middle East would solve the problem...

Absolutely, if we're going to apply this standard equally, society will have to cover up a whole lot more female nudity that's out there than male nudity that's out there. But then, when has social justice ever considered men in the gender equaltiy equation.

The naked female form has always been worshiped and revered in art and literature far more than masculine imagery.

Perhaps some other cultures are right to point out that Westerners are decadent and sex obsessed. It appears the abuse of women toward men is not as great in some other cultures as it is right here in good old America.

Are there other architectural structures recalling the female genitalia, about which men's activists could express the kind of fatuously self-indulgent outrage approaching the level of the Harvard undergraduates cited in the article on the snow penis? Of course there are! The Holland Tunnel is another example. Now it could be argued that men and not women built these concrete and steel vaginas, but this is a sore reminder that men have to do the difficult, dangerous jobs. The tunnels should be sealed off! All entry ways could be construed to be representative of the female genitalia. Doors therefore would be the biggest culprit, but windows would also be suspect. Electrical conduits, water pipes, duct work, sewer lines are all constant reminders to men of the vagina using the same twisted logic that feminist use.

But here's the real smoking gun for all American men and women, the filling station.
We already know guys are too insensitive to appreciate the subtleties and nuances of these analogies so I'll just leave them out like the feminists routinely do. Besides, Title IX clearly states that sexual harassment is based on what a "reasonable woman" would assume. Nowhere is a "reasonable man" even mentioned. With bigoted feminist laws like Title IX it's no wonder there's no respect for American law anywhere in the world, but primarily in America.

I have digressed. Let me get back to the gas station analogy. What could be more shocking then pulling up to the gas pump and then having an attendant (usually male) say, "fill er up?" Naturally what he does next is an abomination in the eyes of feminists everywhere. He takes the gas pump nozzle (Phallic Representation) and inserts it in the filler opening and pipe going to the gas tank (Vagina). He then pumps and pumps until the tank is topped off (Sexual Intercourse). Of course there are some who only put in a buck or two and that could be analogous to male early ejaculation. It is mind boggling to think of the pain a feminist must endure when she pulls up to a self service pump and is forced to commit this humiliating ordeal herself. I can hear her NOW, "I was forced to mentally rape myself at a gas station today." This could be the next rallying cry for oppressed feminists everywhere. It makes about as much sense as many of the things they have already done.

What a minute, what about eating. If feminists were really serious about phallic representations they would at least go on a partial hunger strike, because their mouths must remind them too much of their vaginas and eating things like hot dogs and bananas would be just too demeaning.

Is there no end to the abuse that women must endure, or rather, is there just no end to the insanity and contrived excuses that pheminuts come up with to assault the intelligence and common sense of the majority of people living in the world?

What I found unpleasant in the article was the implication that penises are "menacing reminders of women’s sexual vulnerability".

When I went through school I noticed that when gender was mentioned, men
were referred to in a rather particular way. Maleness was primarily mentioned in a context of "demeaning to women", "violence" etc. This article is in line with that attitude, defining the anatomy that all males are born with as a symbol of rape.

The prevalence of the attitude in the education sector hinders the ability of men to form a constructive gender identity and sexuality. There are broadly three ways boys can respond to this.

They can embrace the dominant view of male sexuality, but maintain their humanity by rejecting their sexuality. They can embrace the evil of their sexuality at the cost of their fundamental sense of humanity and morality. Or they can reject the school systems negative view of their sexuality, likely leading to them seeing the school as a hostile working environment and harming their performance.

To me all of these coping strategies seem to be harmful. No doubt girls have psychological issues regarding their self-image such as the slut/frigid catch-22, anorexia and so. However teenagers of both genders have had self-image problems since the first zit. Girl’s self-image problems are therefore not caused by “the patriarchy”, even if it arguably aggravates their problem. Thus the appropriate solution should be to present a positive sexuality for both genders rather than use one gender as a scapegoat for the others insecurities.

"Again, the license of the Lacedaemonian women defeats the intention of the Spartan constitution, and is adverse to the happiness of the state. For, a husband and wife being each a part of every family, the state may be considered as about equally divided into men and women; and, therefore, in those states in which the condition of the women is bad, half the city may be regarded as having no laws.

"And this is what has actually happened at Sparta; the legislator wanted to make the whole state hardy and temperate, and he has carried out his intention in the case of the men, but he has neglected the women, who live in every sort of intemperance and luxury. The consequence is that in such a state wealth is too highly valued, especially if the citizen fall under the dominion of their wives, after the manner of most warlike races, except the Celts and a few others who openly approve of male loves. The old mythologer would seem to have been right in uniting Ares and Aphrodite, for all warlike races are prone to the love either of men or of women. This was exemplified among the Spartans in the days of their greatness; many things were managed by their women.

"But what difference does it make whether women rule, or the rulers are ruled by women? The result is the same. Even in regard to courage, which is of no use in daily life, and is needed only in war, the influence of the Lacedaemonian women has been most mischievous. The evil showed itself in the Theban invasion, when, unlike the women other cities, they were utterly useless and caused more confusion than the enemy."

(Women in ancient times actually took up arms to defend their cities alongside the men? Wonderful! I suppose the feminists will start sending in their draft cards then!)

"This license of the Lacedaemonian women existed from the earliest times, and was only what might be expected. For, during the wars of the Lacedaemonians, first against the Argives, and afterwards against the Arcadians and Messenians, the men were long away from home, and, on the return of peace, they gave themselves into the legislator's hand, already prepared by the discipline of a soldier's life (in which there are many elements of virtue), to receive his enactments. But, when Lycurgus, as tradition says, wanted to bring the women under his laws, they resisted, and he gave up the attempt.

"These then are the causes of what then happened, and this defect in the constitution is clearly to be attributed to them. We are not, however, considering what is or is not to be excused, but what is right or wrong, and the disorder of the women, as I have already said, not only gives an air of indecorum to the constitution considered in itself, but tends in a measure to foster avarice."
