Hello everyone,
I am new here, and unfortunately won't be able to make the protest, but have a few ideas for signs for the protest. I think modifications of feminist man-bashing epithets should get under her skin nicely:
"What part of FREEDOM OF ASSOCIATION don't you understand?"
"Augusta needs Martha like a fish needs a bicycle!"
"Private means PRIVATE!"
"You go, Hootie!"
"You go, Martha.....around the bowl, down the hole!"
"Whoa here she comes....she's a man-hater!" (thank you Hall and Oates)
"The sperm starts here!"
Hope you find a few of these useful.

Hi Freebird. Welcome.
Great list of sign possibilities. I loved this one:
"Augusta needs Martha like a fish needs a bicycle!"
Someone will pick that one up for sure. Very clever!

I'd love to be a fly on the wall when she and her cronies throw a tantrum over that one, or any of the others (How DARE they!! It isn't FAIR!!!) hee hee hee!

I scanned a Purple Heart from the WWII era that I got at a coin and collectibles store. I inserted the picture into Word, and then wrote above it, "99.99% A MEN's CLUB." Below it I wrote, "WHERE ARE ALL THE RADICAL FEMINISTS."
I printed it out on a color printer (8 1/2 X 11), but when I took it into Kinko's they said they could make a better 18" X 24" poster ($29.00) if I burned it to a CD and brought it in. I did that as a .doc file, and the gold and blue medal came out very stunning. I think the wording points out very graphically the hypocrisy of women who want privileged access to areas were men enjoy themselves, but make to no real effort to pay the same dues that men are expected to pay to this society.

Great idea Ray. Would you be willing to email me the .doc file? tom@standyourground.com
I will make one to take with us. Another possibility might be to have a huge picture of Arlington National Cemetary and the rows upon rows of military tombstones and put on it in large print "Mens Club."
I'm lovin all these ideas.

Why don't we ask her the membership of men in the many feminist leagues she belongs to on a sign?
'Where the Boys Aren't?' Martha Burke's club for male bashing.

This was another sign I made and took to a rally a few months ago. I didn't include the sources on the sign, but it's good to know where the numbers came from. Some might be off a percent or two from the very most recent. I haven't checked lately, but the numbers are fairly recent.
Men's Stats (statistics was too long to fit sign)
Combat Deaths 99.99% (Dept. of Defense)
Work Deaths 94% (NIOSH)
Homocides 76% (DOJ)
Suicides 75% (CDC)

FYI - The CDC numbers put men and boy's suicides at over 80%. They have been over 80% since 1990. I track that stuff here

I am the Father of a Marine in Kuwait, of a Fireman that was at the World Trade Center in 2001, and of an Army Ranger 101st Airborne in Afghanistan. You will notice how many Fireman died at the World Trade Center and never asked Gender, Race, Religion, ethnicity they just served the public. I can think of no profession more male oriented. I am sick of the feminists and their lies. I have had a belly full of how they have screwed us over, and are trying to socially reengineer the Military and dismantle the Warrior Culture. They must be resisted on every level.

Thank you. I respect the great caring sacrifice that you and your sons are making in this world for those they love. I am honored to read your comments to mensactivism and share your disgust at the misguided and selfish actions of the feminist, who don't begin to understand the meaning of the words honesty and integrity, let alone duty, honor or sacrifice. The last time I checked "all" still meant "all" in the phrase "liberty and justice for all."
Let us never lose site of our human compassion as we struggle against forces on this earth that sometimes seem so far beyond our understanding in their perverse injustice that we can only refer to them as evil. Terrorism and feminism are two that come to my mind.
God bless you and your sons, if you are so inclined to lean on his solace. I do, and I sorely need him with me now in these terrible times that test the courage and patience of all decent human beings. I will pray for all of your family and the fine ideals of this country that are truly exemplified therein.
Sincerely, Ray

Great sign, Ray!
I'd like to offer a thought: I no longer make a distinction among 'types' of feminists. Imagine talking about radical racists or radical anti-semites -- as opposed to those other 'nice and friendly' racists and anti-semites. They're all bigots.
Most women don't think of themselves as 'radical' feminists, even among those who would identify themselves as feminist. So, it'd be easy for them, especially when combined with the female tendancy to shun responsibility, to ignore the message because it "doesn't apply to me."
So, I'd make the sign with "WHERE ARE ALL THE FEMINISTS?" or, even better, "WHERE ARE ALL THE WOMEN?"

I tend to agree with you. As another poster to mensactivism wrote, "the less radical feminists serve as a smoke screen for those more radical ones." Couple that with the fact that most unenlightened people tend to look at all men, who speak up about the oppression of feminists, as radicals. I think all of that makes a strong statement in support of your arguement. I do think that the term, "radical feminist" does tend to point more directly to the people who are protesting Augusta as extremists.

Certainly, but I have to admit that I don't know what an E-card is. Let me know how to send it. When I sent it awhile ago it took about 20 minutes by email, because of the resolution and color, but I don't mind sending it that way if that works for you.

Thanks, Ray - E-Mail is fine. If you could zip it, it might go quicker. An E-Card is a graphic and text combination containing a message that can be sent to someone via email. There are birthday e-cards, christmas e-cards, etc. Now there are Men's Rights e-cards (suggested at one of the chats here, I am working on it.)
My email addy is parkertr@w-link.net

Next to the Medal of Honor I think the Purple Heart is most beautiful ribbon awarded for military service, and I am happy to see it displayed in all its glory. It's glorious beauty is truly bitter sweet.
You have displayed it an honorable and distinguished way. The wording starkly adds the bitter reality of what is required to win this impressive medal. The words tell the truth of what men have sacrificed to insure the survival of America. As I wrote on another sign, THERE ARE NO PRIVILEGED PATRIARCHS IN COMBAT JUST MEN.
Thank You Very Much, Ray

Guys,
These are great! I hope ya'll don't mind if I make copies and put them up on my office door on campus. Should make a few people squirm.
In fact, I'm thinking of making a version of the purple heart pic that uses the THERE ARE NO PRIVILEGED PATRIARCHS IN COMBAT JUST MEN phrase from an Anonymous User just for general usage.
Again, if any of the creators of these ideas want credits, I'll slap your name on the pics before I print them out. Oh, I'm sorry, that's probably too violent an image. I'll gently and cooperatively place your name in an appropriate place on the pictures. Hopefully, that's better. Don't want to be targetted as an aggressive male, you know.

I only came up with the Purple Heart one and you have my permission to use it reproduce it without crediting it to me. "It's no bigee." To me the statement(s) are far more important than the recognition. Thanks for asking. Anyone else is free to reproduce it also.

Ray - The credit for the purple heart poster goes all to you. Great job. All I did was copy what you had already done. Many thanks to you and others on this thread for the inspiration to do the others.
To anyone who wants to use the images other than Ray's please feel free. The graphics are taken from the web but I would imagine that if it is used for not-for-profit purposes that folks won't mind so much.
Many thanks to all of the men who have had good input on this thread. We will let you know how the protest goes. Come on down if you can!

Your 99.99% A MEN's CLUB written over the veteran's cemetery is equally impressive to the Purple Heart display. Feminist need to see more visual presentations like these to shock them out the false reality they live in.
