Differences between Male and Female Brains

Inequality It makes sense to view with a bit of skepticism such precepts as those espoused in this essay. The article does, however, present some interesting facts about fundamental, cognitive differences between males and females. And it flies in the face of those genfems, who insist that such differences are purely social constructions.

I am autistic(Specifically, aspergers) and my mom made a joke a while back about all males being a little autistic. She ment it as a light-hearted joke but now it's kind of eery that this artical proves her right...

The really weird thing is that MY mother says I am a little dislexic, and she is too. Most women I know feel that way.

For us, we have a hard time with directions when you turn the map around. I cannot follow a map unless it is pointing the way I am heading!

Dave on the other hand can follow a map in any direction, and also follow assembly directions without having to align himself. Hmmm, Jen

There's a very valid subject in the difference, termed "differentiation", of which development between the genders, occurs mostly within the womb.

From the article linked:

"Autism, in its many guises, is an overwhelmingly male affliction, characterised by an abnormality in social development and communication skills and, usually, an obsessional interest in all sorts of weird, mechanistic stuff, from an early age (usually between three and five years). The current thesis among those studying autism holds that the condition is simply an extreme example of male behaviour."

True. Or my best guess also. There is a connection since the male specialization and differentiation in general, lends a tendency to externalize and use logic in handling the external environment.

Some have stated that autism is running epidemic in Silicone Valley. That would figure. Logic is held at a premium. So are goal-orientated candidates.

The differentiation which occurs is far more than I had originally believed. Some wiring is physiologically different between the genders. So is some nerve tissue, the cells included.

As an interesting corollary, my observation and also some experience with my rare exs: The best balanced females have a slightly higher dose of circulating testosterone, and likely had such during fetal development also. Which lends such women an extra advantage of logic and rapport with men.
