This view violates all logic; by law, the party who had the last opportunity to prevent an unwanted occurrence, is the one liable for the consequence; this is known as the "Last Clear Chance" doctrine in law (Black's Law Dictionary.)
Therefore, if a fully-capable adult woman fails to act to obtain an abortion while such is available and carries no greater risk than carrying the pregnancy to term, then the woman thereby accepts full responsibility in the absence of the man's indication to the contrary.
Any judgement to the contrary is an abuse of discretion in being so based on whim or caprice, or against logic, as to amount to a denial of justice, and hence is grounds for immediate reversal on appeal.
Likewise, the man's right of privacy must be considered, since the child could very well belong to any man-- even a deceased one, and hence legal discovery of the identity of the father in the absence of a contractual duty is a violation of individual privacy.
