UK Sex Offenders to Have Electronic Chip Implanted

News John Knouten writes " The technology is being developed to implant electronic chips into sex offenders which will monitor their sexual arousal, thus signaling when they may present a criminal danger. The story is here. Civil liberties groups are horrified."

Does anyone have ANY idea on how to stop ultimate erosion of human rights in the form of cruel and unusual punishments? Or will our children have to just remember 2002 as the last year such punishments were not practiced? Surgical castration legislation is also planned by many states.

Given that there was no uproar when other civil liberties were taken, the politicians have a good reason to believe that imposing cruel and unusual punishments would not hurt their public image. How can that process be stopped?

? is a question -- not a proclamation. Can anyone answer?

Not only that , it comes right in time for when the laws of the UK are working hard to diminish the 'innocent until proven guilty' rule. Which very well means that innocent men will be wearing these chips.

Along with the ever expanding definition of sex crimes it is very likely that a man who made a 'pass' at a woman he liked could also end up wearing a 'chip' underneath his skin and be referred to as a 'sexual predator'.

In the end this will harm both sexes and will give the ultimate power to the state. Sex under all forms will be criminalized.

Have you read my story? It describes society just like that -- set in 2014. A man accused of a sex crime has a guarantee of being convicted and recieving an extremly cruel punishment. In my story (the part I wrote BEFORE these news!) the chips (bracelets) are used inside prison to control inmate violence. But then as in any fiction, the protagonist in my story wins.

Do you think that such fictional society will remain science fiction or become reality?

Actualy, Emmanuel, This sort of thing is done to criminalize MEN and men AlONE!
Notice that women can and DO say anything and everything they want. No matter how bad or vulgar.
When it comes to talking about men, women can say ANYTHING. The more derogitory the better. Women have positively NO "speech codes" imposed on them.
Men, on the other hand are smothered with "Speech codes."
In the work-place, if a man so much as tells a woman; "you look nice today!" He can be slapped with a sex-discrimination/harassment law-suit! But I have NEVER heard of a woman being repremanded for the SAME conduct.
Also in the work place women can tell anti-male jokes all they want, no matter how de-humainizeing or de-baseing to men those "jokes" may be.
But if a MAN were to do that...,

To put it in a 'nut-shell', A man seen hugging his son, in public will likely be labled a "sex-offender" and be the recipiant of this insideous "chip". But a woman who has all-out sexual relations with an under-age boy, ala Marry Kay Latournoe(SP?) will NOT!
THAT is how bad it is getting. and it will only get WORSE!
What we are seeing today, is an all-out effort to criminalize male sexuality.
Soon, it will probably be illegal to simply be a MAN.
I can just see it now...; Me and a buddy are walking down the street when the cops stop us and arrest us. Me, on one count of being a MAN. and my buddy on one count of being an accessory to being a MAN!

Anyone who cannot see the parallels to what happened to the Jews in Nazi Germany, what happened to my people (Indians) in this country and Canada, and what is happening now to men in general, is either blind, stupid or a feminist.

I disagree 100% with any use of violence in REAL life. Nevertheless, I wrote a fictional drama set in 2014 where a man kills a powerful misandrist media person in Canada in order to avoid being jailed on false rape charges in Louisiana.

The story is below.

#1: The implant doesn't measure sexual arousal, it measures nervousness and fear. If someone beats off it shouldn't sound any alarms. However, nervousness and fear are probably natural in the life of an ex-con whose neighbors know what they've done. And that leads to #2...

#2: It'll be the sex offenders first, and who will it be after that? History has shown that governments always use the extreme actions of a few outliers (i.e. a tiny portion of the population) to justify outrages against the populace as a whole. So first it'll be the sex offenders. Then it'll be all people classed as violent criminals, such as murderers and street fighters. Then it'll be non-violent offenders as well, at which point EVERYONE leaving prison will be tagged with something that watches them for nervousness/fear.

A while after that happens, someone who hasn't been to prison and thus isn't tagged will harm someone else, and that person will start a movement to get all people in a certain class (i.e. newborns) tagged. Those already born won't care as it doesn't affect them - "I'm alright, Jack," they'll say. And for parents, they'll sell these microchips as a way to keep track of their children.

And so eventually the whole entire society will be carrying around electronic tracking devices. And these microchips won't just broadcast nervousness/fear, they'll broadcast every biometric possible.

Somewhere along the line they'll design these chips so that they can be implanted at the base of the skull or someplace like that, and they'll be set up so that they can knock a person out on a remote command.

You think this shit won't happen? Just watch. England has already largely disarmed its citizens, which is an extremely popular early-game move by dictators and wannabe emperors. Hitler did it to Germany and Kofi Annan (head of the United Nations) wants the same for all countries that are a part of the UN. I predict that Earth society as a whole will be very 1984-ish in less than 100 years.
