Boys/Young Men frank h writes "This story concerns two successful suicides and one attempted suicide within in the span of one week in the Pioneer Central School District near Buffalo, New York. As I sit here shaking my head, all I can say is Isn't about time someone started to investigate why our sons are doing this?!"

A little less than half of people who commit suicide leave behind notes. These notes typically go unpublished and are kept by either the families of the victim, or the police - esp. if homocide is suspected. These notes would be a good place to start for some exploratory research.

Berkeley University in California published an article in their faculty/staff circulation about their encounters with suicide. It is available here.

It's obvious that boys are committing suicide because they aren't strong enough to compete fairly. They've lost their priveleges, and they can't handle it.

It is, indeed, sick beyond measure that this hasn't caused international alarm as well as a host of studies and intervention programs. We all know how different the response would be if the numbers of male and female suicides were reversed.

This is one of those parallels, I talk about sometimes, between the problems faceing Indians and those faceing men, in general.
American Indians (males primairily) commit suicide at a higher rate than any other ethnic group in the WORLD.
...but..., Do we ever hear anything about it?
Nope.
Men commit suicide at much higher levels than women. Do we ever hear about it...?
Nope.
Now, if females commited suicide at the level that Men do, or at the level that the men of my ethnic group do, What do you think would happen?
My bet is, it would be called a "NATIONAL EMERGENCY".

My ethnicity is dying, and no one cares.
Now my gender is dying, and no one cares.

...Personaly, I'm in the center of a bridge, where both ends have been lit on fire.
