Maybe they should just issue all males shirts with bullseyes on them? It sounds like possession of a penis is getting to be a crime, and justifies any abuse that might be heaped on you.

This case warrants MULTIPLE charges, piling on the way they do when a man breaks the law: attempted muder AND arson in the first degree. It's unacceptable that they only charge her with aggravated assault.

The REALLY annoying thing about the Artest case is that the 'journalist' Renze-Rhodes chose to invoke his dispute with Jennifer Palma, a case that has nothing to do with the Hatfield case. Something else that's annoying about this.
I live in Indiana. And other than a little blurb on our FOX affiliate, there was not ONE mention of this case in the rest of our local media. (I heared nothing in the national news either.)
If some woman like LISA LESLIE of the WNBA, for instance, was beaten by her husband or boy-friend, You KNOW the media would make D@*#ed certain America would never hear the end of it!
And STILL our collective media, both national and local denies it is BIASED!
They HONESTLY do believe the public to be toataly stupid!!
What a bunch of condesending CLOWNS!

The only way for a man to defend himself while he is being attacked is to call the police first. Otherwise HE will be arrested and they will throw the book at him, and base all charges on the allegations of the woman (false or not without due process). Tell every man you know!
Trust me, I found out the hard way. I left my ex's house when she was drunk and aggravated and attacked me. I LEFT. The next morning, the cops came to MY house and arrested me, despite the fact that I was the one bruised and I was the one who left. I should have stayed, this way I could have been there while she was providing false testimony, or I should have called the police myself (RECOMMENDED).
My vindictive ex kept telling the police and the judge that she was "afraid for her life" - with the prompting and support of her sister who is a DSS maven. This "concern for her life" was a fabricated idea that was devised in her own head. It took me 9 DAYS to gain my freedom from lockup in the county jail. (By the way - I had NO criminal history and a clean record).
After it was all done, she admitted in testimony that she was drunk out of her mind and she didn't even remember the original testimony that she gave the police (so naturally the police tried to help her remember…) In the police report they said she was intoxicated and did not appear to be hurt and she declined medical help. The next day however, she showed up at the police station with a "bruise" on here ankle, the police ended up using this as a "sign of abuse" - against me???
If a woman claims she is "afraid" even though there is no evidence or history of abuse, the courts can and will lock you up (In Mass.) without due process for up to 90 days before a pretrial takes place. This law (I think it’s called 758a) was intended for felons with a criminal history, not for a law-abiding man who happens to fall out of favor with his companion.
MA 209A is a sexist tool used to dispose any man (good or bad) with prejudice simply based on a woman's word. And despite current cultural wisdoms, not all women are ethical and decent, and some of these women will use a system that was intended to be a “shield” against violence as a “sword” to ruin lives.
I thank God every day I didn't marry this woman and have kids with her. I can't imagine what hell a father would have experienced if he were in my shoes.
I lost 9 days of my life doing hard time without a shred of due process, and thousands of $ in lawyers fees because I left a volatile situation for safety and sanity.
I am now a pro-male activist… the bullshit has to be stopped.

Sadly you are one of the lucky ones. There are 10's of thousands of men nation wide that are unable to gain their freedom because they lack money.
They are effectively forced by the state to plea guilty, do jail time, and do anger management all at their own expence. In California, these men are also required to donate money to a battered woman's shelter. Then they get their freedom.
But if they have money, they can fight back and prove their innocence after being assumed guilty.
The system is all about the destruction of the family and the oppression of men. It is done by the state on behalf of women.

Calling the police won't help. I speak from personal experience. In my life I have called the police three times when I was being attacked. Each time I had to leave while my partner and children got to stay. The final time I was sent to jail as the batterer. There's no guarantee.

Depending on State, the Law says police must make an arrest, depending on determining Primary Aggressor, injury, and past history.
In my case, the only reason I was arrested was because my wife made the call. I've made over half a dozen calls, no no effect except to have the police tell me to leave, all the while she's swearing up a storm, and once full-on kicked and dented our truck right in front of them. It didn't seem to matter that I was the one being struck, threatened, and insulted, only that I pushed her away when she tried kicking me again one night. Self-defence is only an option if you are female.
The short of it is, no matter what the history you can cite, injuries to your person, or the law, you have two strikes against you automatically when the police show up. Various women's organizations are VERY successful at portraying domestic violence as a Male-Only undertaking.

Sadly, this is true. What is shocking is that so many men are still ignorant enough to believe that they can actually defend themselves when it is justly called for. Men must be educated to recognize that their right of self-defence has been terminated in DV situations. This is true throughout the U.S.
What is worse is that men are failing to recognize the seriousness of their loss of rights. They do not realize that women in power are passing these DV laws with gender specific language that is designed to criminalize men.
For example, I have even heard experts on DV like John Hamel, a LCSW, make mistaken claims of gender neutrality on the Joe Manty show (Sept. 16, 2002). Even this male friendly expert has mistaken ideas that there is gender neutral language in California DV laws. NOT!
In California DV has been defined by law to be a gender specific crime committed against the female by a domestic partner. This means that, by law, if a woman attacks a man it cannot be DV.
Hummmmm.....wonder why Glenn Sacks hasn't picked up on this fact? Seems like this is an issue for the Glenn man! Hey Glenn Bro! Here is another good topic for your show!

It is shocking how the gender feminists were able to put a female only definition of domestic violence in AB3483. They must have known that this was illegal! Yet, because of their hatred for men, they did it any way.

Check the "Health and Safety Code" box and go to section 124250. There it reads:
124250. (a) The following definitions shall apply for purposes of this section:
(1) "Domestic violence" means the infliction or threat of physical harm against past or present adult or adolescent female intimate partners, and shall include physical, sexual, and psychological abuse against the woman, and is a part of a pattern of assaultive, coercive, and controlling behaviors directed at achieving compliance from or control over, that woman.
It is sad that even men's acivists have such a hard time learning that the law is so literally gender biased. Even I made this mistake of believing the laws were gender neutral. Yet this law has been in place for years! Damn! This just pisses me off!!!!!
The good news is that NCFM, LA will be challenging the constitutionality of this law. I say the sooner the better. This should be one of their top priorities!

I stayed, but it made no difference, I was arrested anyway based on her yellowed bruises that she swore she got the evening she called them. The lying monster. Everytime I see a woman with a bruise (of any age) now, I think, "There's a lie waiting to arrest a man." That's just the way life is for a man today, living in Nazi-America under feminazi law.
God will not bless a coutry of such blatantly evil laws. God have mercy on Nazi America, where men are now the popular target of overt prejudice and oppression, like the Jews and the blacks have historically been, and like women never have been.
