September Is Prostate Cancer Awareness Month
posted by Scott on Monday August 26, @11:47AM
from the men's-health dept.
Men's Health Luek writes "I just got this reminder in my e-mail and thought I would pass it along. Prostate cancer kills as many men per year as breast cancer kills women. But prostate cancer research gets only a small fraction of the funding that breast cancer research gets. This would be a good political point to pass along to your congress person this election year." The web site is www.pcaw.org, which has tons of links about prostate cancer. Please check it out, and consider doing some prostate cancer advocacy this month.

How much do you guys want to bet that we will not see or hear much or, more likely, ANYTHING about this from the majority of media outlets.

During 'Breast cancer awareness month' that's ALL you DO ever hear about from them.
...Come to think about it, The media talk about Breast cancer ALL YEAR AROUND and freaquently.
Untill a couple of years ago, I didn't even know there WAS such a thing as 'PROSTATE cancer awareness month'.
But then, I suppose THAT was by design.
