Announcements This is a currently unverified rumor, but I have been told that Robert Rowan, the man who stole the male bashing art display from the Boulder, CO library, is going to participate in our on-line chat tomorrow night. More details will follow as they become available. Don't get your hopes up just yet, though....

would it be wise?
by Anonymous User on Tuesday November 13, @10:30PM EST (#1)
I heard he may be prosecuted, although he's already been offered a lawer pro se. But I still wouldn't want to see him compromise his defense.

But damn, it would be an honor to chat with the guy too.

What will the chat topic be in case he doesn't show up?

Unfortunately, Wednesday night is the only time each week, when I can count on working out. I need that time; it is sacred to me, so I might have to hear afterward what transpired during the chat. If it seems like a good idea, try to put Rowan in touch with me. I'd still like to work as a liason between men's rights and equity feminist groups on this. (Scott, if you'd like, give him my email address.)

While I think that the display should have stayed up, because it served as such powerful testimony to the hatred and corruption of radical feminism, I think that Rowan was well intentioned when he took it down. And while I would like for us to salvage something from this -- regarding the men's movement's efforts to establish justice, honesty and mutual respect between men and women -- I would hate to see Rowan undermine his defense.

Hopefully, we can get more good out of this than we already have. (Many more people now see into the soul of radical feminism because of this vile display.)

Hola everyone,

As the man who started this rumor I'd like to take a moment to explain it. I personally talked to Bob on the phone twice today and told him about it, once when I called him and later when he called me. He has told me that he will be there, and I don't see any reason not to believe him. I understand Scott's caution in not announcing this as definate in that he hasn't spoken with him, (and since I haven't been able to get a response from Bob's email addy, I'm assuming Scott's having the same trouble), but he sounded eager about this when I talked to him on the phone. If he doesn't show right away, I do have his cell # so I can always give a him another ring.

See ya tommorow night,

Penis Auction

Ok, fundraiser time. Lets see who's willing to pay for a piece of penis history. M/A could benefit greatly from such an auction. :-) We could auction it of as a whole unit or in individually. Hey, are they circumcised? I don't need a circumcised penis, I already have one. Oh, wait, these are stolen peckers. Oh well, just a thought.

See ya'll tomorrow night.

I'm afraid that little auction idea is impossible as Bob called the police to confess the next day, and then returned the peices intact. The state has said that it won't press charges unless the "artist" pursues it, and she doesn't seem to want to do that.

I talked to Bob again today and he is looking forward to joining us in the chat tonight. We talked a little longer this time and he told me that he was attending a protest this morning at the library where he said passerbys showed about a 9 to 1 ratio of support. Pedestrians, drivers, and even the police were giving them thumbs up, saluting the flag they brought, and showing enthusiastic support. A tee shirt manufacturer has even gotten in on the act, and Bob's going to tell us about his "Viva El Bandito" shirts for sale during the chat tonight.

See you all there :)
