Women Losing Battle of Sexes in Sports?

News This story in the Salt Lake Tribune quotes a female "academic" who claims that the sports world (which she admits was created by men for men), particularly the Olympics, is discriminatory against women. Nevermind that every year the Olympic committee is adding more sports and medals for women athletes, she says. That's only a reminder that women have a long way to go.

It is generally agreed that women have made tremendous advances in athletic participation, almost equal to that of men's in short period of time. Do you dare to report on the CURRENT negative ramifications men' athletic programs have suffered to allow this advance. Or are you only interested in historical examples of female athletic exclusion?

Title IX is mandated elimination of male athletic opportunities at all age levels. This is executed by the Office of Civil Rights, who, headed by Norma Cantu, put pressure on all federally funded institutions to meet the participation quota. The punishment is the withdrawal of any and all federal funds for non-compliance
