Teacher Straps 9-Year-Old to Chair With Masking Tape

I am not surprised at all. Now 2 things:

1) The boy couldn't sit still or whatever. How long has it been proven that schools now days are not boy friendly? They weren't when I was in school in the 80's.

2) I have never heard of a teacher doing this to a girl student. I doubt we ever will.

How much more proof of anti boy/male bias does this country need? The mother of this boy is upset. What we need to do is get these moms on our side. They are seeing it first hand are as pissed off as we are. Not all women are anti male. We know that women have a louder voice than us men. Let's get these mothers on our side.

When I was in the seventh grade, I am 53 now, in the city of Buffalo NY I had a science teacher by the name of Mrs. Springer that sat me in her chair and preceeded to sit on my lap for the duration of the class. She was a strawberry blonde with very large breasts. She sat there for a good 20 minutes. I liked it! Of course it was a tad bit uncomfortable as the rest of the class was watching! I was also made to stand in a garbage can in another class, whole class, and I have been made to wear a dunce cap while standing in a garbage can. I also had male teachers assault me in school, as well as female teachers. Well men, I still don't believe in the system, and I still don't go along. I just hope we can complete this circle in peace, before it is to late.

If you take into account that some 85% of all K-12 teachers are women, then this episode is merely an extreme example on the spectrum of what boys experience in school.

The real curriculum is less about learning particular academic subject matter than it's about learning that women have power over boys and men.

Most of the violence that female teachers inflict on boys is psychological rather than direct physical aggression.

The modus operandi of these borderline personality disordered female teachers is to use intimidation, shaming, and public humiliation to break a boy's spirit, and by implication, make him hate school.

I have had a life-long disdain for authority, and it began in first grade due to one particularly vile female teacher.

One of my best friends was the girl next door in my class. She was a tomboy and we liked athletic activities and play. One day we were jousting like knights with broomsticks, and she accidentally whacked me across my upper lip, splitting it with a two-inch cut. It was a simple accident, and there was no malice intended.

When I returned to school after the week-end, I had a nice big scab on my lip. The teacher made me stand up in front of the class ( I refused three times until she pulled me up by my shirt collar) - and she announced to my classmates that "This is what happens when you are careless and stupid."

The fact that I remember this event like it was yesterday tells you a lot about the power teachers have to damage a young person in ways that are subtle but lasting.
