Report from Women's Advocacy Group Threatens to Derail Efforts to Help Troubled Boys

"The report gave no clue that boys generally receive lower grades on their report cards, or that boys are far likelier to be suspended or held back a year, or that boys account for two-thirds of children in special-education programs. Attempting to portray boys as youth's favored gender, brimming with confidence and self-esteem, the AAUW also failed to account for the particular self-destructiveness of adolescent males: Not only are boys two to four times likelier to commit suicide, depending on their age, they also stand much greater risks of being murdered, killed in car accidents, or incarcerated later in life, according to data compiled by the National Center for Health Statistics and other federal agencies."

The AAUW is an arch-feminist organization cut from the same cloth as NOW. If you visit AAUW's web site you will not find any evidence of concern about boy's welfare. They are strictly and only about girls and young women.

One of their big issues is the "pay gap" and they recycle the old "women make 77 cents for every dollar a man makes..." myth.

After conveniently ignoring all the dire statistics about the "boy crisis" noted above, AAUW falls back on the pay gap fiction and states that - "There is no boy crisis because men still make more than women in the workplace."

AAUW has zero credibility as an objective research source - they are propagandists.

This is the same group that issued the report in the early 90s that girls were having a "self esteem" crisis and were "losing themselves" in their early teens.

The US Congress immediately rushed all kinds of programs into place in our public schools and these remain in place today.

The report issued by the AAUW was later found to be misleading, inaccurate, it was not peer reviewed, and there was no data substantiating their claims. There was no "self esteem crisis"!!

In the mean time, they established girls behavior as the base desired behavior in our schools. Boys are now, not judged against other boys, but their behavior is judged against that of girls. Is it any wonder we are now raising effeminate wimps and pussies?

The AAUW is a political group advocating against the well being of boys. Their reports are good for one thing. Toilet paper.
