Men Naturally Unfaithful?

Dennis Prager says that men are naturally unfaithful, and that for those of us who AREN'T cheating on our wives currently, we should expect a hug for them.

So, men naturally cheat? I'd disagree, as all my exes have cheated on me. My wife listened to it today, and she got mad about it. If it irks a woman, I'm sure it'll irk a man.

It's about eight or nine minutes in. Audio here.

...getting through to Dennis Prager, who's one of those Mars/Venus guys. In fact, one of the few times I've heard him getting angry and flustered on the radio is when someone calls in and disagrees with his dogma that men are like X and women are like Y. It's not pro-male to suggest that, "ladies, you have to understand that all we guys are dogs and it's natural for us to think about sex 100% of the time..."

If I remember Lyall Watson (biologist, author of Dark Nature, Supernature) correctly...

Men have an incentive to cheat because of the biological imperitive to spread the seed around. Men also have an incentive to support women who bear them children -- to increase the chances that their children will survive.

Women have an incentive to cheat as a hedging strategy. If she bears a child from a second father, the odds increase that at least one of her children will survive. (both fathers can't possibly be losers, can they?) Lyall Watson mentions that when women cheat they are much more likely to have a type of orgasm that traps the sperm in the uterus, increasing the chances of pregnancy by that man.

You know it is impossible for a hetrosexual man to "cheat" without the help of another female; at least one!

I once heard a talking head malegina say that the reason men die younger on the average than females is because nature has hardwired them to die off after they can no longer add to the gene pool; impotence and low or zero sperm count is supposed to kick in for the majority of men in their late 50's onward. At first this may make sense from an evolutionary point of view. But then we have to explain menopause. If everything is practical in nature then women should die off a lot sooner than men. So much for malegina logic! And that goes for that Prager maggot.

I only know of about two women who were cheated on by a former lover. However, I know four men, including myself who were cheated on. The other three are my brother, my brother-in-law, my former brother-in-law (I have two sisters). I also work with two women who admit that they cheated at one point or another. One of these women actually told me she believes women are more likely to cheat. I believe it.

The reason why I think women are more likely to cheat is because it's easier for them to get away with it.

Women have a "cheater detection" mechanism biologically wired within them. A woman has a lot invested in the relationship, and will get very jealous if she senses that a man is even just showing interest in another woman (it doesn't even have to be sexual interest as such, it could just be friendliness). This is because she senses that her kids will lose the support provided by her mate.

The cheater detection mechanism is always at work, even as the woman is simply seeking a mate (not just when she is actually IN a relationship). It helps her filter out the men whom she senses may in the future cheat.
