Anybody recall the Lyndie England fiasco?

You know, the U.S. female Iraq war hero who fought bravely and got captured and raped and then got a book deal and a talk show circuit?

Then unfortunately the truth came out.

She was an incompetent soldier who got lost while driving in hostile territory, led her convoy into an ambush, ran her vehicle into a ditch, never got off a shot against the enemy who killed her comrades, and then she ended up in an Iraqui hospital where her life was saved.

And then the Bush administration staged a made-for-TV movie by "rescuing" her from her entirely unhostile Iraqui doctors.

I am puzzled why Ms. Steinem discredits an actual war hero but never mentions the feminist charade to try to manufacture one.

I don't understand the point of her analogy. I guess since there's no case study where something like that happened to a female soldier, she has to analogize. It's a piss poor analogy too. If the same thing happened to a female soldier, she'd probably be even more exalted for what she went through than McCain is for his ordeal.

While I disagree with the ideas behind the war he fought in, I can respect his courage and his perseverance. What we have here is another female trying to defecate all over a man's suffering for the sake of something he believed in. I think that if a man was willing to put himself on the line like that, that does qualify him to be a president. He willingly laid his life down for his nation, like hello?

I think Gloria Steinem is sexually frustrated. Seriously. Even if she is married, it's a joke of a marriage. After all, only a true eunuch would want to be Steinem's spouse.
