"Home circumcisionist" faces child abuse charges

Story here. This guy is quite a piece of work on many levels, but the significance of this story is the reason for his facing of charges. It's good news that that is what he is being charged with and why; it's bad that he did it at all. Now if we could only get the same attitude about it in other contexts. Excerpt:

"Detective Shelly Hartley said Marlowe doesn't like hospitals and denied the women prenatal care in both cases, then circumcised the boys when they were 8 days old.

Marlowe later moved to Gaston County and is serving a 150-day jail sentence there on charges of resisting a public officer, assault on a female and multiple counts of child neglect."

What a bastard! I'm on the borderline when it comes to whether or not I support circumcision. I need to ask Sue Johansen before I know for certain. Obviously, those who support it should have a medical proffessional or qualified individual to perform the procedure.

But for someone to do that to their own kids is beyond sick! That man deserves at least 10 years for what he did, but he got less than half a year! What a flawed judicial system! How does it make sense that molestation of children calls for a harsher punishment than sexual mutilation? He put his sons at risk of infection, possibly leading to amputation. He's a real piece of crap that deserves to rot. Hopefully he'll get his ass kicked by his cellmates (among other things involving his ass). The sick bastard deserves it!
