What must be understood is that the emerging information that supports women as violent, oppressive and over-privileged is not negated by the historical perspective as women as chattel, but demonstrates that this perspective disparately needs to be revisited.

Feminism depends for its validity on conjuring up more and more feeble examples of "oppression."

The 77-cents wage gap mythology, the domestic violence faux-epidemic, the one-in-three woman are raped hysteria....

In fact, American women are the most privileged class on this planet.

The entire U.S. culture is dedicated to making sure that women's needs are met.

For gawd sakes, Oprah is soon going to have her own television NETWORK dedicated to women's "issues."

And lord knows, they have a lot of issues...

are the female Space Shuttle commanders and female candidate for President of the USA oppressed?

Elizabeth Hanson makes me laugh with her "[poor women cant get access to] key resources, including money, employment, transportation, legal justice and housing, when wanting to leave abusive relationships".

In divorce women more often than not get the house and a sizable chunk of money regardless of weather or not she earned a penny.

There are countless abused women refugee center but almost none for men.

As for legal justice, women on average receive 10% of the sentence men get for like on like crime. There are programs to release women early to avoid overcrowding for non-violent crime...just for being women.

Women can lie and destroy a mans life with false accusations of rape and abuse, and often walks away free even when the lie is discovered.

When a women attacks a man in a DV incident. HE is often the one to get arrested. There is an you tube video clearly showing an example of this.

Men have no access to justice and in divorce they have no way out, they are stripped of their assets they worked so hard for.

Yes, you would make me laugh, if it wasn't so outrageous.

I was being nice. In reality as we all know, when lazy fat women have to get off there backsides and EARN money instead of sponging of their husbands in divorce, when they are forced to fight in wars regardless of their beliefs, when justice holds them responsible for their actions. WHEN THEY GIVE UP THEIR PRIVLIGED POSITION, THAT is when there will be equality. NOT when the fat lazy ho's get all there 'entitlements'. That's not equality.

With the internet, small obscure college newspapers can become big news very fast!!

Incorrect. What must be understood is that the "historical subordinate status" of women is fiction, due to feminist rewriting and revision of history; and we must also understand that the "ongoing subordinate status of women" is also fiction, created by ongoing feminist lies and propaganda.

I would share scott's sentiments that, With the internet, small college newspapers can be a great asset to mens rights, and should be approached as such!!

Maybe I am just not getting it but isn't a "study" concluding that women are just or more so as violent as some men much like a study concluding that the earth may revolve around the sun and not the other way around? The theory of a heliocentric solar system was resolved and accepted a few centuries ago. It would be ludicrous and backward if today's academia said it might be a possibility; it is an established and provable fact. The same IMO applies to the hypothesis that women may be as violent as men. It is no longer a theory or possibility for me. So maybe we are ahead of the trend?

Luek, I often think that way too, but also for many other men's issues that might, it time, finally come out of the woodworks and finally convince people en masse. It's somewhat of a giddy thought to compare the surgence of men's rights issues into the collective consciousness to Copernicus' discovery of the heliocentric solar system (actually, I think he thought it was the sun at the center of the universe), but of course time will tell just how history changing it will be, and it is the duty of all MRAs (and others, such as ifeminists((oops!)), helping us along) to see how far it can be taken.
Btw, this certainly isn't the only study to conclude that women can be almost as violent, just as violent, or more violent than men. A now classic survey (at least in men's movement circles) by Straus and Gelles published back in 1986 actually showed that wives assaulted their husbands more than the latter assaulted them (this covered a period of ten years between 1975 to 1985). This indicates that women have been getting increasingly beligerent for the past few decades, which then reveals that this didn't just happen overnight. Straus and Gelles followed up with studies every ten years (if I recall correctly) and they consistently showed that women were often just as violent toward their spouses, and sometimes more so. So it took, if I remember correctly, a century and a half or so for the religious and scientific establishment to concede Copernicus' theory. I wonder how long it will take before this theory of women being equally, more or less, violent will be accepted by the feminist dominatated gender studies establisment.

I have never yet encountered any self-styled feminist who has even acknowledged the existence of this bibliography. We need to ensure they have this huge gap in their knowledge filled - to bursting point. Ram it down their throats if necessary.

Feminists have childrens blood no their hands (to which most are to callous to care), when they refuse to recognise violent young women. Violent young women are 10 times more likelly to kill their children (if they don't get any help) than non-violent women.

Again a slight temporary change of topic, but in response to Academic Aggression's post above, where he mentioned that feminists have childrens' blood on their hands:

Feminists' "women first" mentality and their desire to shame men, has decreased troops' morale in Iraq, by causing these soldiers to feel more anxious about how they are "not there" for their families.. I know this because I've seen in the media, news stories where they interview the soldiers and the reporter asks questions like, "so what do you think about the fact that you're not able to send presents for little Jonny's birthday?" And the soldier is thus coerced to feel anxious and guilty - you can see it on their faces (when on TV) and in their responses. That spreads reduced morale among the troops and thus reduces their general effectiveness in battle.. which in turn, of course, increases the number of troops killed.

Feminists also encourage the killing of fetuses. Don't get me wrong, I am pro-choice, but I believe both parents should have to agree. Feminists encourage women to conceive and then get abortions much in the same way that people are encouraged to vote, just to exercise that freedom. Let's not forget all the horrific snuff films with male victims which they encouraged thanks to their "skewed to make men look bad" propaganda. How about how they look the other way, when men are the victims of violence? Or how they actually help female child molestors such as Mary Kay Letourneau? Or how it was like-minded women who started the KKK?

- or the suicide rates for young men (4X that of young women)
- was that a subordinate status woman commander of the latest space shuttle flight? Oh.
- is Mrs. BJ Clinton a subordinate woman presidential candidate?
- how about the subordinate death rates for women who average 5-10 years longer life spans than men?
- or the subodinate status of women who are not required to sign up for selective service in the event of national peril.

Oh to have subordinate status in the USA....most women around the world are clamoring for exactly that.

I work out twice a week at the health club and four times a week at home. It never occurred to me that I might need the strength training to defend myself one day. It could come in handy. Also, if I have a nice looking body, I won't have to put up with women's crap. If they wanna act like spoiled children I can kick them to the curb and get a new woman, a real woman.
