Harvard 'scholars' Advocate Higher Taxes for Men

Via Marc A. "They're still at it" was his comment in his note to me. Read it here. Excerpt:

'Gender-based taxation induces a more balanced allocation of home duties because it increases the implicit bargaining power of women within the marriage by improving their outside option. Despite the change in bargaining power, if family members share enough of their market earnings, gender-based taxation could even be welfare-improving for both spouses. And in the long run it will induce a more balanced participation of men and women in the market, both in term, of levels and elasticities. Currently, women and men work exactly the same amount, but women more at home and men more in the market in all countries for which data are available.'

I can't believe douche bags from Harvard came up with such a ludicrous idea. I guess Harvard is the new community college.

Oh brother... Tax men more and we'll work more at home while women work more outside the home. What a bunch of sexist drivel.

Responses that men can take: Work less. Work under the table.

The usual fucktard notion that work outside the home is a privilege while work at home is a burden. What a brilliant marketing tactic. I would have thought of it myself, but I wouldn't have thought that people were stupid enough to believe it.
Go talk to a trash collector about unpleasant work.

“Women have a more elastic labour supply than men.”

That is academic egghead jargon for –-“Women have more choices than men whether to sell their labor, because they can always lease their vaginas to a working male instead.”

The basic premise of the article proposes a gender discriminatory tax on men so that they will work less outside the home and spend more time vacuuming and changing diapers, because their wives will be forced into the labor market to work and make up the difference in household income that is lost from the “man tax.”

This is an extremely anti-woman proposal, but sadly there are few feminists with the analytical skills to discern this. (N.O.W. does not have a Department of Theory...)

Only tenured idiots at a feminist cesspool like Harvard have the privilege and leisure time to think up stuff like this!

Why do parents still want to pay $50,000 a year to send their children to be lobotomized at these so-called "elite" schools?

That single women, without a husband, will also have to pay this tax. The tax is aimed at "families" - to somehow compensate women that spend time taking care of house and children.

Single women, because they avoid this "cost" should be required to pay this tax until they marry.

This is not just ordinary scholar-generated misandry. It is the net result of what happens when someone is born into an ultra-liberal family, goes to private schools for twenty years straight, never works a real job for even one day of their entire life, then spends the rest of their useless existence "deconstructing" any and every system that has ever been generated by our democratic, capitalist society. Especially the patriarchy and the taxation system.
