Does Anyone Use the Planet Blog Reader?

Along the top of this site are links to other services I've been experimenting with offering to the community. The wiki has been very active lately, but the Planet Blog Reader is in need of some maintenance that I don't really have the time for. I'd like to know if anyone would feel upset to see it go?

I like it to scan quickly to see if there are any new posts at a couple of blogs I like but I also check them myself so it's no huge loss if it vanishes.

I never once clicked on it based its name not sounding like anything I'd be interested in. Planet sounds like something out of Superman comics and Reader sounds like a helper for children.

I think you should consider changing its name to more describe what it is and how it compliments the rest of the website. If you want to keep it, that is.

I might have checked it out a couple of times. Either way, I won't lose any sleep if it goes.

Planet is simply the name of the RSS feed aggregator software I was using. When I first set it up it was kind of neat, but now there are definitely much better solutions out there.

Thanks for all the feedback - I'll probably take down the Planet site this week.

RandomMan: your comments about the value you see in MANN are helpful in my thought process of how to expand or modify the site.

There is something else in the works, something for activists, that I intend to launch by the end of this year. I will have some details of it to announce in a couple of weeks.

It is a location that I check every week for new postings - rather than going to individual sites.
My only complaint is that it doesn't seem to offer much recently.

Some of the articles posted there are very good.

I don't use the planet blog or the wiki. I've looked at them but don't find them very useful. I like the old, simpler MANN with just the news page and without the 3 second delay in getting to it. But then I'm a bit out of touch with all the latest on internet tools.

What ever happened to the little section that paid tribute to the professor who taught Scott Garman about men's rights and who died in a motorcycle accident? I thought that conveyed a good message not just about that professor but about our movement too.
