Corporal Punishment Double-Standard: 'Brush spanking mum walks free'

Story here.

Imagine a father ties his 14 year old daughter to a bed, pulls down her pants and spanks her with a heavy wooden brush until she wets herself. Would he walk free from court? Excerpt:

'A WOMAN who struck her teenage daughter's bare buttocks with a hearth brush until she wet herself left a Tasmanian court unpunished today.

Justice Peter Evans said it was unnecessary to punish Michelle Joyce Cooper because she already had to live with the consequences of her actions.

He placed her on a three-year good behaviour bond.

The Primrose Sands woman was found guilty in the Supreme Court in Hobart last week of assaulting her 14-year-old daughter.

Cooper, 46, tied her daughter to a bed, pulled down her pants and hit her with a wooden hearth brush after becoming angry with her for wagging school, the court had been told.'

Seems like every judge has the same excuse.

"Justice Peter Evans said it was unnecessary to punish Michelle Joyce Cooper because she already had to live with the consequences of her actions."

Someone should do a study to find if women feel any more remorse for their actions than men. I already know what the result would be.

I would guess that the study would be done by feminists anyways. We all know what the results would say vs. what the results truly are. It makes me deeply depressed to read these stories anymore. You almost feel lost in a sea of double standards and injustice.

The thing is, we need to get the message out to EVERYONE about the true situation.

On the plus side, at least she's lost custody of two of her tow daughters - hopefully she does not have any other children the court has not taken away. Good thing she's already at an age that her producing any more kids is highly unlikely to.

Women have more remorse then men? In the feminists inspired countries women have practically forgotten the meaning of the word.
