Draft Clock ticks closer to midnight

The new "War Czar" has finally said it...
Bush War Adviser Says Draft Worth a Look

No mention of adding women to the Selective Service "draftables", either.

The letter began, "Greetings,"

During the Vietnam era, guys were getting those letters on their 19th birthday. They still had time to go to a recruiter and enlist in a branch of the service of their choosing (if they wanted to), but it was a longer service time if they did that.

Mandatory service after being drafted, to the best of my recollection, was two years in the Army and three if you opted for an Army training school. I joined up to avail myself of some of the schools the Navy had to offer. I liked water sports and the ocean too and still do. Four long years...

It's really disgusting that women have historically had to make no sacrifice from their lives to the draft as men have had to do. It's also sexist (misandrist) to high heaven.

Women will never be equal as long as men are denied all the pampering and privileges that women have.

I get so sick of gender feminists, and women's studies teachers and students, saying, "Men cause all the wars so let them fight all the wars." Women are 51% or more of the voting electorate so they control the voting electorate and they also exempt from military service. What a pack of stinking, vile hypocrites and free loaders they are.

...are going to be fair if given the chance? I mean how stupid can you be? Leave your faith at the door and look at the facts. If women as a whole have not been "fair" up to this point what in the hell makes you think that will change in the future?

The best thing men can do is keep pointing out the double standards women have been living by since the beginning of the human race and NOT tolerate them any further. If this means kicking your woman to the curb....do so immediately.

You cannot force anyone to grow up, they have to want to, and women have had more than ample time to do just that.

Apologies for promoting my favorite philosopher once again - it takes several readings to really sink in. From Arthur Schopenhauer's essay "On Women":

"Female Truth -

The fundamental defect of the female character is a lack of a sense of justice.

This originates first and foremost in their want of rationality and capacity for reflexion but it is strengthened by the fact that, as the weaker sex, they are driven to rely not on force but on cunning: hence their instinctive subtlety and their ineradicable tendency to tell lies: for, as nature has equipped the lion with claws and teeth, the elephant with tusks, the wild boar with fangs, the bull with horns and the cuttlefish with ink, so it has equipped woman with the power of dissimulation as her means of attack and defence, and has transformed into this gift all the strength it has bestowed on man in the form of physical strength and the power of reasoning.

Dissimulation is thus inborn in her and consequently to be found in the stupid woman almost as often as in the clever one.

To make use of it at every opportunity is as natural to her as it is for an animal to employ its means of defence whenever it is attacked, and when she does so she feels that to some extent she is only exercising her rights.

A completely truthful woman who does not practice dissimulation is perhaps an impossibility, which is why women see through the dissimulation of others so easily it is inadvisable to attempt it with them.

But this fundamental defect which I have said they possess, together with all that is associated with it, gives rise to falsity, unfaithfulness, treachery, ingratitude, etc.

Women are guilty of perjury far more often than men. It is questionable whether they ought to be allowed to take an oath at all."

But it was only 10 years ago.. because we still have the draft.
And it's interesting who defends it. I've asked a lot of women about it and have a read a lot of discussions - usually, most women agree that it's unjust and reject the idea. Most men too, of course. Polls have suggested a majority of people wants to end the draft.

Then who doesn't? Top politicians, mostly from the conversative side. Most of them men (actually ALL that vigorously defend the draft), and a lot of them evaded the service decades ago (very hard here!) through their good connections.
Why do men do such things to other men? I guess we can't expect justice as long as the political caste is so detached from their citizens.
And there is a big problem. Female politicians defend the interests of women, but male ones don't defend ours.

Of course, women could stand up and do for us what we did for them decades ago..

And then you wake up from that dream you're having right?
