I hope this case will have the effect of males not joining up,by this time they should have learned their lesson,they are treated purely as cannon fodder and in this society being treated cheaply is not manly.There are tens of thousands of eligible women,let them go to war on the front line.I bet that conditions will improve 1000%.

i got an exacto knife (not sure on the actual name but it's a short, really thin and sharp blade) pierced THROUGH my thumb all the way to the bone (mostly because the model was a POS and opened by itself in my pocket).

i was annoyed more than anything. i didn't sue my old workplace (though i did suggest they get improved models) or anything. i took care of my wound so it was disinfected and protected then i went back to work like nothing happened.

hell, some guy at my current job almost ripped his hand apart with a vegetable knife and i wouldn't even know about it if he didn't tell me (he sounded almost casual about it too).

neither i or the other guy got money for it.

that woman should STFU.

1.They do not fight in combat. During the Vietnam war, men would rest from compat by getting a few weeks doing some clerical work. This does happen in Iraq. These men are over-worked because support roles are held by females.

2.Though men make up the vast majority of soldiers injured, its the female soldier that has more value. This ubsurd story is a prime example.

3. FYI..Kim gandy wants US goverenment to impliment pap-smear tests, funded abortion, and monthy breast exmaminations for the women serving in iraq (actually serving in a comfortable office) Note to Gandy: This is a war! Are tampons more important than body armor?

She is a civilian employee of the RAF. She isn't even in uniform.

It was also found upon further investigation, that 7 years prior to the thumb condition becoming known, she had chipped a nail on her right pinkie while typing. She informed her male supervisor, who laughed at her and caused her undue discomfort. Thus she shall receive another half-million pounds, and be awarded the "Medal of the Distinguished Cross of the Purple Heart for Hazardous Duty Well Done in Spite of Stressful Conditions and Dire Circumstances"

Forced abortions would be more appropriate. That way, women can't use pregnancy as a reason for an early-out. This in turn would keep them from propositioning their male counterparts, and thus help both male and female soldiers keep their minds on their work..thus reducing the deaths of troops. Pretty neat system, eh? - fewer single mothers/illegitimate kids, fewer troops seeking early discharge, fewer troop deaths, fewer blow-jobs taking place in the field!

Also, what is the logic for monthly breast exams? Are they worried about chemical weapons causing cancer or something? I would think they already get them at least yearly.

WHEREAS, the U.S. government should provide the highest standard of care to women who have volunteered to serve their country; and

WHEREAS, women in the military is currently one of NOW's important issues; and

WHEREAS, the federal government not only forbids the use of public funds for abortions for military personnel and their families but also bans abortions at military facilities even if the woman is willing to self-pay; and

WHEREAS, contraceptive devices and medications, including emergency contraception (Plan B), are not being stocked at military medical facilities; and

WHEREAS, Pap tests and mammograms are not made available to servicewomen on a regular basis; and

WHEREAS, data is needed to identify health issues involving women in the military and women veterans to apprise them of services and benefits available to them; and

WHEREAS, educational efforts need to be directed to women in the military and women veterans; and

WHEREAS, it is important to verify that there are adequate numbers of obstetricians and gynecologists available for women in the military in the U.S. and wherever they are stationed throughout the world; and

WHEREAS, all forms of violence against women, including domestic violence, are prevalent in the military and within military families; and

WHEREAS, women in the military suffer from PTSD from combat and from rape, sexual abuse, and sexual harassment; and

WHEREAS, NOW is the premier women's rights organization in the U.S.;

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that NOW form an ad hoc committee on Health Issues of Women in the Military. The committee will work with other organizations working in these areas and appropriate military and veterans service organizations to address these problems so as to develop strategies and action plans and bring these plans to the National Board.
