Is the System too Easy on Women or is the System too Hard on Men?

Essay here. Excerpt:

"Great, so if big-brother is a chivalrous fellow who treats men and women differentially under the law and elsewhere, now what? This is where differences of opinion are likely to burgeon (and perhaps political affiliations as well). Are women coddled too much, or are men punished too severely (generally speaking)? In other manner of speaking, should we lock women up and throw away the key like men are often treated for certain crimes? Or, should we send more men into counseling/psychological services instead of prison in an attempt to garner more empathy/sympathy for men in a similar way that women are sometimes treated?"

The author has way to many grammatical errors, his/her prose seems pointless as he answers his/her own question without really stating it - the answer is both - and the flow is poor and the analogies are not well used.

That said, of course this is an important debate to get into the minds of the general public, and this essay is a welcome piece to raise awareness of this very important issue.

But when I am writing a piece that is to be published or for a presentation, or for a legal document, I scan it with a fine toothed comb and then have at least two others go over it as well.

The system is too easy on women and too hard on men.
