The idea that the one who _earns_ the money, controls the family, is one of the greatest shams ever concocted. The wife controls the spending power, as well as the home life and child rearing. These are where the true power resides. The husband is a wage-earning slave, whose wife and child will dump him if he ceases to supply a steady source of funds.

I have laughed for many years about how men accept the notion that their progressive decline in wages, career opportunities, family influence, political clout, legal rights, life expectancy, etc. etc. ---

If the one who earns the money WANTS to control his wife he can. Some men did/do, others do not. Most fathers were the heads of their homes. The wife would get an allowance and the money was controlled by the man. He earned it; he decided how it was spent. Of course, there are ladyboys out there who are submissive to their wife’s and just hand over their earning. They are the exception not the rule.

In his book "The Myth of Male Power", Farrell outlines how women control the spending power in this country, by an overwhelming amount*. He uses statistics and valid reasoning. It is true that in days gone by, the husband may have given the wife an "allowance" in some families, but do you really think she had no say in how the other money was spent??
If not, how was the man spending "his" money..on drinking and gambling binges and wild womanizing, or was it more likely on house and car repairs, home furnishings (which mainly the wife determined), medical bills (like for the wife and child), and other things pertaining to the entire family?

I suspect the man may have lorded it over the wife in strict conventional households of the past (like say before the 60's), but this has more to do with the power psychology of being the bigger and stronger of the two (not implying threats or actual violence here). But even this is well counter-balanced by the sneakiness and manipulative nature of the female, as well as using her sex/beauty power (as Farell calls it) to her advantage.

The bottom line, according to Farrell (and I agree), is that in the past, there was no oppressor/oppressed relationship between men and women - instead, both partners were slaves to their roles. Then "successful men freed women [from their role], but forgot to free themselves".

*I have my own recent anecdotal evidence of this also..just a couple days ago, I discovered that in the large shopping mall near where I live, there is an **entire large Macy's store** containing **women's items only** (mainly apparel, make-up and jewelry). I had to walk to the far other end of the mall to buy my shirts and socks at the realatively dinky "mens store"!
One might respond, "yeah, but who do you think owns Macy's, isn't it probably a hierarchical structure dominated by men, such as the board?" My response is, "perhaps so, but who do you think controls the spending power in _their_ families?"

The "pecking order" that is set-up worldwide makes sure that men will be wage slaves for women. Corporations make more off of women who are spendthrifts, not men. This is nothing new and it most certainly did not JUST come about with the advent of feminism.

I have said it before and I will say it again that feminism is simply the by product of female greed, vanity, selfishness and male chivalry along with corporate swindling. Feminism is about money and power plain and simple. The wealthy pushovers who benefit from male bashing are about money and power. In order to GET the money they have to go to those who control it; women. Thus "empowering women" puts women in conrtol and money in corporate pockets.

There is millions of dollars to be made with misandry. The feminists jobs are spreading misandry so they will never say that women are more "equal" than men because then they won't have a fucking job anymore. Thus no more MONEY for them. It is all about money when it comes to corporations and women. Women are not married to men they are married to the corporations of America.

You are correct. The "women are complicated" myth was propagated by pussy whipped men--longing for women--who were still trying to "find women out"(even though there is NOTHING to find out. Look at a spoiled kid's behavior and you have the typical woman) and of course by women who think that being drama queens makes them "complicated."

In all reality the average woman's behavior pattern and way of 'thinking' is quite similar to the mind of a spoiled 10-year old; selfish, greedy, habitual liar, self-absorbed, attention monger, Mama's girl, tells when someone does something she personally does not like, etc.
