Female circumcision a problem in Britain

Kudos! I don't think male genital mutilation is much of a problem in the U.K., but it's certainly an issue here in the U.S.. If it is a problem in the U.K., I hope they do likewise in those instances ... and I definitely hope the practice is banned in the U.S. where it is more prevalent.

I love how western women go into other countries and start segregation all over again. I almost laugh at what this society considers "progression." It's like they think going backwards--to segregated societies and racism--is somehow going forward.

Women were happier when black and white men were killing each other over racist bullshit. Now that we are talking with each other and making some progress women want to turn back the clock. Why? It appears that when slavery was brought to an end women entered the workforce in order to put slavery back in place--while maintaining their personal slaves; men. Especially ever since between the time women CHOSE to go to work and gained the vote all they have been pushing for is racism, SEX-ism against men, and segregationist laws.

I honestly think Kathleen Blee was correct in saying a woman was the REAL POWER behind the KKK.

Women never wanted to end the power structure of the patriarchy. They wanted to simply change seats in the throne-room. Equality is merely a transitional period but they want to keep the pendulum swinging. Even though women are outnumbering men in colleges, lower in dropout rates, more single-sex organizations and clubs then men have, and unbelievable control in the courts they are still "oppressed." Any little area where men dominate must be removed or replaced while women-only clubs and organizations must thrive or else it is oppression. I've noticed some of this stuff ever since I was a child, especially the anti-male bias in textbooks and on TV. Everytime I pointed it out my mother laughed it off.

Women have always controlled men through sex. Mothers school daughters on how to withhold sex in order to get a man to do what they want him to do whether it is wine and dine, marriage, etc. I always say feminism is only a byproduct of female greed and vanity. If women did not value and nurture their negative traits feminism would never have been brought about. The real problem is the female's way of "thinking"--and the chivalrous men whom support her childishness--if that is what you want to call it.

Unfortunately they were self deluded (at best) to believe that there only existed masculine power, and that feminine power would not be lost or damaged in the process of feminism.

The more women devalue men, the more they lower themselves, and the less the future generations will give them or their ideas respect.

We're seeing this too. Especially from the new generation of adults... It gives me some hope.

This may be one of the reasons women always have something negative to say about monks and other holy men that do not adhere to physical desire. Women can't control them.

Have you ever noticed how women ALWAYS bring disagreements--voiced by men--with their crazy ideas to a sexual level. Nine times out of ten women usually insult the males as "not being able to get any" or as "being bitter because women reject him." That is their only source of power and they ALWAYS fall back on it.

Here we go again. It's happening to women so it's a major issue along side the billions of issues that women create and billions of dollars wasted on them..

This issue has been done to death for the last 10 years and because it has that "poor victim" image, it's gets continually rasied.

Last time I read anything on this it stated that it was women performing those operations...

You indeed discovered the truth between the lies. These people have a feeling (you know that thing that women call "emotional inelegance") that something might be going on among a group of people (read: race) they don't like.

They have absolutely zero real evidence - maybe an anecdotal tale here or there - and they want to make an international crisis about it. It's just the female way.

I feel sorry for the man who eventually gets persecuted as being responsible for every FGM ever performed anywhere on Earth because some old women with a rusty machete, bloody hands and a jar full of little girls labia pointed a finger at him when she wet her pants from a G-spot orgasm (isn't it nice that women can still have orgasms that have nothing to do with a clitoris) when she heard some one say $40 000.

Elsewhere on the web, I came across a thread about FGM in the Middle East as a part of Muslim culture. Everyone was outraged, understandably so, but when one person brought up MGM, what few people paid attention to the comment at all bashed the person for even making any comparison of the two, saying that FGM is 20 thousand times worse from a purely physical POV (which I suppose it is, not to say MGM isn't horrible) and that also -- FGM is worse because of the "gender oppression" behind it. Apparently, MGM doesn't have the same effect.

I honestly don't know enough about MGM to say a whole lot, but I just got the feeling that those people, although justified in being so pissed off about FGM, were really trivializing MGM in some way..... I don't know whether to buy into the opinion that FGM is a form of gender oppression any more than MGM is or to think that it's simply crazed religious suppression of sexuality. I'm sure many people would argue they're one in the same....

It is absolutely a trivialized subject. You could argue that it's trivialized in much the same way that the Bobbit fiasco was laughed at.

Perhaps you could list some of the ways that people believe FGM to be much, much worse than MGM. I'm sure people here would be able to give you ample food for thought.

the comments I read mostly harped on 2 points: physically speaking, FGM results in much more damage than MGM does because of the female anatomy and also, as I already mentioned, that FGM is done for the reason of women's oppression, whereas MGM is done mainly for religious or "health" reasons.

Again, I'm not saying that is my opinon; I'm just reiterating what I read from others.

I get sick and tired of hearing about women's so-called problems. Learn to solve them your damn self. Women have been getting a free ride for so long that they don't know how to take care of themselves without exploiting someone.

I'm more concerned for male genital manipulation. I have little to no sympathy for whiny women left. Fight this one yourself with the millions of dollars you have extorted from your husbands, boyfriends, fathers, the taxpayers, etc. No man should give a fuck anymore until women learn what REAL equality is....until then I could care less if they carve their shit OUT. Not MY problem. I only concern myself with problems men have.
