"Indoctrinate U" takes on PCness on Campus

I just want folks to be aware of a grassroots movement to spread the word about what PCness is doing to the atmosphere and level of intellectual freedom on US (and other) college campuses. Some daring people have made a documentary on the topic. You can see a trailer for it here and request a local screening here. From the site:

"Speech codes. Censorship. Enforced political conformity. Hostility to diversity of opinion. Sensitivity training. We usually associate such things with the worst excesses of fascism and communism, not with the American universities that nurtured the free speech movement. But American higher education bears a disturbing resemblance to the totalitarian societies that are anathema to our nation’s ideal of liberty. Evan Coyne Maloney’s documentary film, Indoctrinate U, reveals the breathtaking institutional intolerance you won't read about in the glossy marketing brochures of Harvard, Berkeley, Michigan, Yale, and hundreds of other American colleges and universities."

I am VERY, VERY, VERY proud to be an American MAN today. Thanks for the story Matt. I will post this at my local college campuses.

Everyone should also watch the interview by Fox on UTube - there is a link to it from the same page as the trailer. "Gender studies" among other things is mentioned. The only thing is that the Fox interviewer, in a subtle manner, keeps trying to steer the interview in a certain direction and/or get certain answers that he wants to his questions; to his great credit, Maloney does not succumb to this.

This guy is going to be a major target for feminists; he will probably get the obligatory death threats, etc.

(Note: I got better streaming via UTube than the trailer, not sure if this is due to my Inet connection)

This looks to be a really important indie documentary, exposing the repressive climate that political correctness has imposed in higher education.

The source of this repression is of course, feminism.

The filmmaker's comic schtick going into Womenz Studies Centers and asking for directions to the Men's Studies Center must be priceless!

It is interesting that academia has this coveted prize for professors -- called "tenure."

When a university teacher receives it (for ostensible scholarship ... but usually for just sucking up and conforming to PC-ness) then, s/he cannot be fired. Permanent job security, regardless of future performance.

And the ironic part of this is that tenure was originally adopted to ensure that professors could have FREE SPEECH!

These same annointed elites are now repressing the freedom of ideas, endorsing dubious "hate speech" policies, and creating "free expression ZONES" (little tiny stigmatized marginal spaces) on their campuses.

The power of professors to coerce students into ideological submission via the use of the grading system is at the heart of this argument.

The power of educational institutions to hire, fire, and grant or withhold tenure to professors is the real source of tyranny.

Interesting that no college/university administrators would agree to be interviewed by the filmmaker.

Do you suppose they are the real cowardly paranoid fascists who do not want to be exposed as the custodians of this shitstem?

It looks to be a great film; I hope it gets nationwide theatrical release.
