Sadly, the woman who filed the false charges will go completely unpunished, though I think the victims should attempt to bankrupt her and attach her future earnings through lawsuits while also relentlessly trying to convince the new DA to prosecute her. Mental instability is not an excuse for criminal behavior and she should be criminally prosecuted along with Nifong."

This is a classic example of why a false rape accusation is rape and the accuser is a rapist!

If a racial slur during a barroom brawl can elevate a mere mistermeanor assault up to a major felony as a hate crime then a false accusation of rape should be seen as equivalent to a rape itself since proving a rape did not happen can be near impossible if no DNA is left.

Also, wasn't Nifong just following to the letter the much stated femi-fascist's mantra that a woman never lies about rape and must be believed regardless of the evidence to the contrary? IMO the only reason these innocent boys got off the hook and not convicted on some level is that they had the monetary resources to adequately defend themselves. Even with the lack of corroborating DNA evidence less affluent accused would have had to cut a plea deal to avoid hard time in prison.

I logically agree that the false accuser should be prosecuted, as a matter of principled justice.

But as a humanist, I have to ask -- how much further suffering do you want to visit upon a poor woman with five men's semen deposits inside her vagina who still had to make some money by taking off her clothes in front of rich white university boys?

Some karmic perspective is warranted now.

At some point, it will be justice enough to end the violence.

Focus your righteous anger on the shitstems, not the victims.

Repeal VAWA. Reform the anti-Family Courts. Deconstruct the DV Industry. Invalidate feminism. Heal the Gender Wars.

The prosecutor appears to be getting what he deserves. The false accuser does not. However, anyone who hires strippers in the first place should understand that they expose themselves to this kind of outcome: the possibility of a false accusation of rape, a reputation in tatters and astronomical legal expense. Caveat emptor.

That's the cost. Repairing the system so that false accusers and maverick prosecutors are prosecuted may lower the cost of hiring strippers, but won't eliminate the risk entirely. The class of persons who would benefit from legal reform are those persons who don't do anything that is likely to increase their exposure to false accusation, but who are falsely accused anyway.
