Female Teacher Gets 10 Years for Sex With 11-Year-Old

Story here.

Here we ago again. "Sex with an 11 year old". The word rape is reserved for male sex offenders. Women? They simply had "sex". Doesn't his age suggest she is a pedophile? The age might be different in each state. Excerpt:

"Former South Carolina elementary school teacher entered a guilty plea to having sex with an 11-year-old student and was given a 10-year prison sentence. Wendie Ann Schweikert, 37, a former teacher at E.B. Morse Elementary School in Laurens County, refused a plea deal that would have sentenced her to 14 years.
...
Wendie Schweikert was one of two Laurens County teachers arrested within a short time of each other for having sex with students. Allenna Ward, 24, a teacher at Bell Street Middle School was charged with engaging in sexual acts with five boys, ages 14 and 15 years old."

Doesn't his age suggest she is a pedophile?

It may, but it may not as well. In order to be a pedophile one must have a primary fixation of sexual interest in children. If the primary sexual interest is on adults but the person is also attracted to children, they are not technically a pedophile.

Just as a bi-sexual person is not homsexual.

There is another latin derived term for people who are primarily interested in sex with adults but also find children attractive but it escapes me at this moment.

In order to determine pedophilia there does not exist a test for women, only for men as the only test - asside from an admission by the accused - is - known by several terms but they all mean the same thing - phallometric testing. Basically showing a male sexually arousing pictures from different catagories and measuring his erection or lack there of. It is inacurate at best as there exist very few people on this Earth who find only one thing sexually attractive and depending on the order in which the pictures are presented you can easily achieve false posatives, but it's all there is.

Everything else is just some ones opinion and opinions are highly dependant on who's paying.

Since there is no equivalent test for females, there is literally no one who can answer your question diffinitavely.
