Pennsylvania Woman Who Slashed Womb Gets Prison

'KITTANNING, Pa. — A woman who tried to steal a fetus by knocking her pregnant neighbor unconscious with a baseball bat and cutting her abdomen was sentenced Tuesday to 22 to 50 years in prison.
Peggy Jo Conner, who could have been sentenced to up to 80 years, apologized in court for attacking Valerie Oskin.
Oskin, 31, was rescued after a passerby spotted the two women in a rural area and called police. Her baby was delivered by emergency Caesarean section and put up for adoption, which had been Oskin's intention before the attack.
"I'm sorry for what happened to Valerie and for what part I had in it," Conner said. "I'm not that kind of person. I was on drugs then."'

Why is it that I feel no pity for the woman involved? Women tried to make it so that loons like this would not get anytime and have free reign to do what they want. I sincerely hope the person that rescued her was not a man.

No one, man, woman, child, hell even beloved pets, do no deserve what happened to that woman.
Violence begets more violence, nothing else.
To have no sympathy for a fellow human being who was brutally attacked like that reveals much about you. How can you claim you want equal rights for men and at the same time advocate allowing women to slaughter one another?
Do you have sympathy for the baby? What if it was a boy? What about the womans young son who witnessed his mother being attacked?
I find it sickening that the attacker got to blame drugs for the reason she attacked another woman, but since no drugs were found in her system the damn State offered another excuse for her action in bi-polar disorder. I am disgusted that her apology went "I'm sorry for what happened to Valerie and for what part I had in it," because she accepted ZERO responsibility by choosing to view it as something that just happened rather then something she made happen. If I was the judge her apology would have made me more inclined to hand her the maximum sentence because she is not willing to accept that she did what she did and it was not some outside force acting upon her beyond her control.
But I am truly sympathetic to all the people who were involved or witnessed the horror that woman inflicted.
A HUGE part of the men's movement's arguments for equality is that being a victim is NOT related in any way whatsoever to ones gender. By you MrReality (I don't know who's reality but...) saying that we should not have compassion for a victim of an atrocious attack because of her gender is diametrically opposed to what the men's movement is about. It strikes me as more likely a view that a feminist would have on a crime. MRAs don't shut out victims because of their gender, feminists do.
