DePaul University Athletic director - Women superior to men

Depaul University's first female athletic director and gender equity advocate, Jean Lenti-Ponsetto, claims female superiority over men in basketball.

Asked for her comments on the differences between coaching men and women in basketball for the "WomenNews" section of the Chicago Tribune she says:
(click "read more")

"My experience is that women are more coachable. They don't bring as much ego, and they function much better in a team-oriented concept. Guys sometimes have a tendency to fit their individual skills into the team model. Women always think team first... women are also faster and easier learners because they kind of check their ego at the door. Guys sometimes walk into a team setting and have the tendency to prove right away how good they are and how good their individual skills are."

Remember Mr. Larry Summers, president of Harvard? Isn't this the same thing? I guess when it's in reverse it's O.K. Join me in telling Mrs. Lenti-Ponsetto and Depaul University's president, Rev. Dennis H. Holtscheider how you feel.

So why is it that the first/last time I watched a women's basketball game, I saw no teamwork what-so-ever?

The new P.C. fem-coach stated -- "Women always think team first... women are also faster and easier learners because they kind of check their ego at the door. Guys sometimes walk into a team setting and have the tendency to prove right away how good they are and how good their individual skills are."

So, let me get this straight?

The very best basketball team would be composed of fast learners who have lobotomized their egos and so sublimate their individual skills for the good of the team?

This is a textbook definition of an insane, unqualified, laughable feminist "athlete."

Now I understand why there is so much passing of the ball, and passing on taking the obvious shot ... in female b-ball.

No girlie wants to "prove how good they are." (Or make anybody on her team or her opponent's team ... look bad.)

Having watched the WNBA, this is all, sadly, "pretty" obvious...

So let me get this straight:

Woman says broad generalizations based on nothing but bullshit....no punishment

Man says men MIGHT not be equal based on research and statistics....social castration

Nice world we live in.

they don't have the moves, the grace, the speed, the power, or the accuracy.

other than that - they are uninteresting to watch.

now - put together the very best women's team in the USA, and lets put it up against the very best men's team in the USA....lets limit it to college aged athletes.

people would pay money to see that.
but they hardly ever pay money just to see women play.
and around here, they try to bundle women's games with the men's when ticketing, (they force you to buy a ticket to a woman's game) so the girls can improve their attendance stats. it is pathetic.

That reminds me of my college. This female professor was giving out extra-credit to attend a free game of women's handball. Shit. It was free! You had to bribe people to put butts in those seats.

All you other guy's comments suck, there is really just one question: When will the women's team play the men's team????

(just kidding about the comments. boy am i in a goofy mood tonight..speaking of athletics, check out my comment on the "gender wage gap version two" topic!)

Just femprop to alter the collective conscience, folks. She probably knows herself that what she's saying is bullshit - but whether it's true or not is irrelevant.. Does it insult masculinity, and what men are? Good. We'll print it.

I would say that her generalised criticism of male athletes has everything to do with a natural sexist, feminist inclination in her.. That is, her inability to accept male superiority in almost all aspects of sporting organisation and performance.

Oh well, that's how she deals with it. Projection.

E-mail sent to her:

"GFY, and your sexist, dualistic remarks...

Individualism is a reality, for it and open competition go hand in hand... Of course, women tend to despise open competition...

Furthermore, it is only by de-motivating men and by dumbing down standards in sport that women could ever hope to out-perform men, either on a team or individual level..."

If I wanted to see skill, competition, teamwork and strategy I'd watch the men.

If I wanted to see fit women in bikinis but little of the above traits I'd watch the women.

My Brain says Men,
but my libido says... wait... no, yeah. It says men.I don't care how good a woman looks in a bikini. It's still clothes.

Women are continously saying something stupid in the media. There is a very small minority of women that actually have something to say that truly interests me or should I say that is truthful. The majority of women have been lying so long that they have become masters of it.

No, the minority of women who say stupid shit get the majority of female media attention.
