The Duke defense team has already requested a paternity test. This case is the soap opera from hell. I really sympathize with these three men, but this high profile case will remind people that innocent until proven guilty is the foundation of our justice system. My prediction regarding the outcome will also show society that sometimes women do lie for their own personal gain. (something we know, but society has been manipulated for years that women NEVER lie.) My belief is her desire for money. A civil court trial was her best chance of getting free cash at the expense of these men. With Nifong's obvious incompetence and the possibilty of tampering with D.N.A evidence should lead to a lawsuit against the city. At the very least, let these guys get a chunk of cash and have Nifong removed. Hopefully this case will have such an impact on the rights of the accused, possibly leading to the privacy of men accused in the future. Lets release her name after the trial. Let her deal with the media scrutiny. Having their names and faces plastered through the media is a travesty. Even with the inevitable acquittal, they can't take back that negative media exposure. Cases like these are terrible, but maybe necessary for the advancement of our movement.
