Women "excluded" from Senegal circumcision rites

mens_issues writes "Reuters reports about a circumcision rite in Senegal in which a mythical figure called "Kankouran" guards the boys being circumcised from the village women. This is spinned to make it seem that since women are being "excluded" from this ritual it must be "discrimination" against them. The irony is that the article also mentions that female circumcision was banned in 1999, but does question the fact that it is still done to boys.

The article is here.
