"Workplace Salaries: At Last, Women on Top"

Article here. Excerpt:

'The fact that the average American working woman earns only about 8o% of what the average American working man earns has been something of a festering sore for at least half the population for several decades. And despite many programs and analyses and hand-wringing and badges and even some legislation, the figure hasn't budged much in the past five years.

But now there's evidence that the ship may finally be turning around: according to a new analysis of 2,000 communities by a market research company, in 147 out of 150 of the biggest cities in the U.S., the median full-time salaries of young women are 8% higher than those of the guys in their peer group. In two cities, Atlanta and Memphis, those women are making about 20% more. This squares with earlier research from Queens College, New York, that had suggested that this was happening in major metropolises. But the new study suggests that the gap is bigger than previously thought, with young women in New York City, Los Angeles and San Diego making 17%, 12% and 15% more than their male peers, respectively. And it also holds true even in reasonably small areas like the Raleigh-Durham region and Charlotte in North Carolina (both 14% more), and Jacksonville, Fla. (6%).

The rise of female economic power is by no means limited to the U.S., nor necessarily to the young. Late last year, the Bureau of Labor Statistics announced that for the first time, women made up the majority of the workforce in highly paid managerial positions. The change in the status quo has been marked enough that several erstwhile women's advocates have started to voice concerns about how to get more men to go to college. Is there an equivalent to Title IX for men?'

Actually this is old news. That urban single child-free females in their 20s on aggregate outearn similar men in their age group has been true for quite some time.

Young single women outearning young single men has its upsides. First, female fecundity is highest under 30. Females generally avoid mating with men of lower economic status than them because female primate hypergamy is instinctive and powerful. Men of higher economic status are likely to be "taken" already or don't want to risk marriage and/or paternity. So they head into their 30s child- and man-free. After 30 their chances of reproducing drop very fast. This means a baby-bust, which is a really good thing IMO.

As for the guys, there's plenty of middle-aged divorced/never-been women on Tinder to meet and fuck. Also, all of America's metro areas are awash in heroin and fentanyl. Each city has thousands of hopelessly-addicted young adults at least half of whom are women. Translation: loads of dirt-cheap junkie hookers to bang who bring down the price of non-addict hookers markedly. What's a girl to do?

Then there are some number of Millenial females who also meet-and-fuck because hey, why not? Holding out virtuously (or acting like it) for Prince Charming is stupid when he doesn't even make as much as Cinderella does. Princes are attractive less because of their royal dicks but more because they stand to inherit a fuck-load of stuff. Cinderella wants that castle but alas, well-heeled princes are noticably scarce these days.

In some ways, between rampant drug addiction making lots of Millenial females easy as hell to fuck, unattached and desperate 40-somethings with decades of bedroom skills to draw upon, and no practical reason for typical Millenial women to "hold out" for "Mr. Right", now's not such a bad time to be a young guy, at least as far as scoring pussy is concerned. Now getting into a decent job with prospects, security, and good pay -- this is a lot harder. But if a Millenial guy can somehow beat the odds and get into a good job, life's not bad at all. Make a good living and bang a different chick every night.

Even as civilization starts to unravel, there are still ways a modern man can find happiness and satisfaction -- so long as it doesn't include getting married and h@ving kids. Thankfully I think most western men have by now discarded this idea as viable/reasonable. But I must say my heart goes out to the fellows who still delusionally cling to bullshit romantic fantasies. Not a good time to be the prince. :)
