First, why didn't BBC give the woman raises if the women were being underpaid and the men overpaid? In any case, market forces are market forces. Eventually those men will get hired out with a pay increase by someone else, probably a non-UK media outfit. Or they'll just leave media altogether.

"Pay equity" apparently leads to paying men less, not women more. But as I said, pay is a market force. Eventually the market decides, ultimately, what happens.
