UK: Police attract derision by calling under-the-mistletoe kissing tantamount to rape

Article here. Excerpt:

'A police force has been ridiculed for warning people to get consent before they 'bump into that special someone under the mistletoe' — or else they could be committing 'rape'.

The Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) posted the 'nonsense' message yesterday, drawing hundreds of mocking comments attacking the force for 'trivialising' rape.

The force, which has 159,000 Twitter followers, posted: 'If you bump into that special someone under the mistletoe tonight, remember that without consent it is rape #SeasonsGreetings.'

And it wasn't long before the warning was shared hundreds of time across the social media platform.'

Priorities?

Cities awash in cheap synthetic opioids, underemployment is the new normal and our political class is made up of feckless dolts and this is what a police dept. is on about? Either modern man has become dangerously bored, thrown in the towel in addressing the most pressing issues of our age, or irretrievably stupid, or some combination thereof.

My money's on lazy and stupid.

This whole bullshit feminist-driven, lazy/stupid MSM-promulgated hysteria prompted me to read up a bit on the Cromwell era in the UK. I came across this essay and thought to myself, same shit, different day, just with the details re-arranged and in our era, the target is men, not "the ungodly". Since Cromwell, it's happened many more times, each time a different flavor, with death awaiting the targets, or loss of livelihood, or of freedom, etc. Seems humans are generally rather stupid creatures who enjoy repeating their mistakes.

You know what's really bad? Most times, not all, but most times, the ppl behind these terrors do NOT see punishment of any kind for their evilness/nastiness/whatever. Most times, the leaders and their perpetrators get away with it.

The moral arc of the universe does not bend toward justice as MLK Jr. said. On a good day, it bends toward neutrality. On most days, it bends towards screwing you.
