New Standard of Teamwork in Men’s Movement

warble writes

"The men’s movement came together yesterday (April 22nd) and fought for male issues with a unified, coordinated, professional, and well-refined front. The organizations instrumental in this effort involved ACFC, CAPF-CA, US-CAPF, NCFM – LA, RAAPFV, MSN, MND, hisside.com, and many more groups and individuals working behind the scenes. Indeed, the effort was an international one that drew people in from all corners of America and drew attention from all corners of the earth. It has taken the veterans of the men’s movement ten years to establish this type of foundation from which we could leverage our influence."

The beauty of the coordinated effort was like a delicate work of complex machinery. We would like to extend a special thanks to the paternity fraud victims who were present to make a difference in 100’s of thousands of lives.

"The result was that by the time the feminist opposition had a chance to speak all of their issues and concerns had already been addressed. They could not bring up any new issues that we had not already discussed and resolved in SB1030.

"We freely admit to the critics that this bill is not perfect nor by any means was it the ideal. It is clearly a heavily watered down version of what we want. Nevertheless, we are gaining a major political foothold in California for addressing men’s issues, and the Senate Committee of Judiciary sent a strong message to the opposition that they will not permit further obstruction, obfuscation, or delay in addressing the issue of incorrect default paternity judgments.

"I would like to extend a special thanks to all of you that answered the emergency call for letters in support of SB1030. We are close to breaking the 200-letter mark. Think about this. In two weeks we went from 2 letters of support to almost 200 letters of support. To the skeptics who don’t think those letters wouldn’t make a difference or that we would be able to gather the support I say that the facts speak for themselves.

"The result of this coordinated effort resulted in the California Senate Committee of Judiciary passing SB1030 and moving it to the Senate floor. The only person opposing the bill was Senator Kruel with Sher abstaining. All of the rest voted to move the bill forward.

"We have three more steps to go, and it will be a tough fight. While we blindsided the opposition, we can rest assured that they will regroup and fight back. This is not over. Now we need staying power. I’ll continue to use this forum to inform everybody on how they can support SB1030 and make a difference in the men’s movement.

"Thanks!
