Woman Fired for Sexual Harassment

hurkle writes "The tide slowly turns. Of course, this article about a woman getting fired for sexual harassment appears in Yahoo's Oddly Enough section, but it is clear that the PC world of do-nothing-nice-for-anyone-ever is now beginning to backfire on women. The way it's written, everyone involved seems slightly confused that this could actually happen. Hah!

Offensive Foley's ad

mens_issues writes "Today I saw a Foley's ad on some of the plasma TV's hanging in the middle of the FlatIron Crossing Mall (Broomfield, CO). This showed a male mannequin admiring a woman who was trying on clothes in the store. A female mannequin next to him then hit him over the head with her purse. Afterwards, he looked humbled while she had a smug smile on her face.

I’m so sick of companys marketing misandry.

Here is Foley's home page."

Have a drink for your heart

CJ writes Here is a little good news for men (and women) who like to have a drink now and then. Drinking in moderation appears to reduce heart-related deaths in men with high blood pressure, new research suggests, challenging the belief among many doctors that alcohol should be off-limits to such patients. It is nice to see a contemporary study with a focus on men for a change in the Boston Globe."

Thomas writing now. I've now seen reports on numerous studies indicating that drinking in moderation is good for one's health (typically one drink per day for women and two drinks per day for men). Of course, there are always caveats published with the results. Some of the studies have indicated that wine, especially red wine, is best for one's health. Others seem to indicate that it is ethanol that has the health benefits. Every report that I've read warns about excessive consumption and emphasizes that individual circumstances are of critical importance. In any case, it is good to see this study done with such a large sample of men. 14,125. Wow.

Advances in Education -- BIG TIME!

Looks like ol' George is following through, and the results may well be magnificent. (I might actually vote for this guy. That's a mind bender, but a different story. Hell, I might even campaign for him.) This FoxNews.com article reports on how the Bush administration is "following through on a promise to make it easier for school districts across the country to operate girls-only and boys-only schools".

Of course, the article goes on and on about females' educational needs and never mentions how boys are lagging far behind girls in school these days. Nevertheless, this is great news. I went to an all-boys high school. It was one of the greatest experiences of my life, and that was before feminist teacheresses and administratoresses turned schools into bastions of anti-male indoctrination.

It's a lot to say, but I think this education-movement may prove to be one of the most important advances/corrections in American culture in decades.

Blog for DAHM

Trudy W Schuett writes "I've begun posting another previously-published novel of mine in blog form at The DesertLight Journal here.

This is "Friends to the End", about a male victim of domestic violence. This is a subject that seldom comes to light, due to society's resistance to the idea that a man could actually be a victim.

While it is fiction, I've been told by men who have been in this situation, that it is in fact, quite true to life.

Readers can make a donation to the Domestic Abuse Helpline for Men at the link provided at the DLJ."

Not one, but two false complaints in Rhode Island

Anonymous User writes "There is another report of a woman, by the name of Sinead E. O'Brien, charged with submitting a false rape report to the police. She was charged 1 week ago. The case also occurred in Rhode Island, the same state where another woman, Stephanie E. Estep, was also charged on the very following day.

Thomas writing now: The second case is discussed on MANN here. And here's a discussion of the hateful, feminist declaration that women don't lie about rape.

Man seeks $65,000 for flawed alimony ruling

CJ writes "STOCKHOLM (Reuters) - A Swedish man who paid alimony for 13 years for a child he knew was not his has been proven right and now wants half a million crowns ($65,000) in compensation."

Thomas writing now: Maybe the law wouldn't allow it, but it's too bad the man isn't trying to have the mother imprisoned for fraud.
