Wrongfully accused sex offender making documentary

I am a filmmaker. My passion is to tell people’s stories and give them a voice. It was difficult for me to decide if I wanted to expose myself and be publicly known as a alleged sex offender; going against my family and friend’s advice, I decided that going public was the right thing to do. I need to do this, because it is only way to expose this injustice and mistreatment towards men in our justice system. I was arrested solely based on accusation without any other evidence, other than a single eye witness who is her friend. My hope is whatever the outcome, people become more aware of this issue. I am determined to make my case by showing other men who have had a similar experience and how their lives have changed, and give them a voice from a men’s and accused's perspective.

I wanted to share my journey towards clearing my name, and every step of it: from a obtaining a lawyer, how my day-to-day life has been affected, to the final court hearing. I want anyone else who is wrongfully accused to not be ashamed and to speak up, and to address this issue.

DV shelter for men in Ohio follow-up

It made it to mainstream! Story here. (Originally on MANN here.) Excerpt:

'Now First Step has taken its next step by opening a shelter for male victims of domestic violence and fathers who are struggling to maintain relationships with their children.

Officials say they believe "The Bridge," as the new shelter is called, is the first of its kind in Ohio.

"We're stepping out. We're doing something that has not been done before," said Terri Mercer, executive director of First Step. She and Esuga Abaya, the agency's community resource coordinator, say First Step has worked with an increasing number of men in recent years. The agency has, at times, made arrangements for male victims to stay at hotels or find other safe housing, but the options were limited.'

Botswana has "Men Sector" to deal with men's issues/rights

Via Marc A. Article here. Excerpt:

'The law in Botswana currently leans towards women when it deals with custody of children born out of wedlock.

As a result, some women, out of bitterness or for whatever reason, end up denying men access to their children.

The men, in that case, can't get legal help. While women's rights organisations booming all over the world advocate for women's rights, represented locally by Emang Basadi, men seem to be lagging behind in organising to form an organisation which can deal with men's rights and other issues that affect them.'

Dee Dee Myers' new book: What if women ruled the world?

Story here.

Dee Dee Myers was former White House Press Secretary during the Clinton administration. She has been all over the news claiming sexism and victimization in regards to Hillary's attempt to become the next President. This is a book written by a woman who exemplifies misandry! Excerpt:

"It’s easy (and perhaps a bit facile) to argue that men haven’t done such a great job. The last century was the bloodiest in human history, and so far, this one has been a tale of war, terrorism, religious extremism, abject poverty, and disease. I’m not saying it’s all men’s fault. But let’s just say, they’ve been in charge, and it doesn’t seem we’re much closer to finding answers to these profound and vexing problems.

Georgia School District Goes Single-Sex

Story here.

Some people are upset, but the data shows that this will improve performance of both boys and girls. Let's see what happens! Excerpt:

'GREENSBORO, Ga. - Nearly four decades after this rural Georgia county stopped segregating its schools by race, it wants to divide students again — this time by sex.

Greene County is set to become the first school district in the nation to go entirely single-sex, with boys and girls in separate classrooms — a move born of desperation over years of poor test scores, soaring dropout rates and high numbers of teenage pregnancies.'

LA Times: What campus rape crisis?

Story here. Excerpt:

"It's a lonely job, working the phones at a college rape crisis center. Day after day, you wait for the casualties to show up from the alleged campus rape epidemic -- but no one calls. Could this mean that the crisis is overblown? No. It means, according to campus sexual-assault organizations, that the abuse of coeds is worse than anyone had ever imagined. It means that consultants and counselors need more funding to persuade student rape victims to break the silence of their suffering."

Group president: Men, kids ‘invisible’ victims

NCFM-LA gets quoted in correcting a paper over its facts. Excerpt:

'COLUMBUS -- A common and popular belief that women are the vast majority of domestic violence victims came under fire recently in a response to The Telegram’s story entitbled “Safety top priority in domestic violence calls” which published Feb. 17.

Marc E. Angelucci, president of the Los Angeles chapter of the National Coalition of Free Men, responded by e-mail and a blog post to the story and provided access to several studies by prominent medical, research and governmental agencies to back up his claims.

The various studies call into question the commonly held belief that female victims far outnumber male victims of intimate partner violence and/or that women do not typically initiate the violence, but only react or respond to violence committed against them.'

RADAR ALERT: Call Your Senator Today, Spare the World of I-VAWA!

At a time when Violence against Women Act (VAWA) is increasingly criticized for its ineffectiveness and harmful effects on American families, Sen. Joseph Biden recently introduced International Violence against Women Act (I-VAWA).

RADAR's analysis of I-VAWA (Senate bill 2259) reveals it would:

  1. Harm the family.
  2. Impose ineffective and harmful programs on other countries.
  3. Create a new federal "super-agency" that would control many
    aspects of U.S. foreign policy.
  4. Ignore violence against men and other forms of violence.
  5. Funnel millions of taxpayer money to ideologically-driven
    organizations.

More information on the problems with I-VAWA can be found here.

I-VAWA is almost identical to VAWA, a law that has already contributed to the destabilization of American families and caused immense harm to children.

Shared Parenting Advocate Announces Candidacy for the Michigan House of Representatives

On February 25, 2008 Scott Hudson of Waterford will formally announce his candidacy for State Representative for the 43rd District.

Hudson believes that the integrity of the family must be respected and that the role of the family in America is vital. The mother and father both need equal and full access to their children, and that the role of the state must be secondary to children having both parents in their lives.

No matter where your location is please email Mr. Hudson with your words of encouragement.

He is a very strong advocate for EQUAL parenting rights and like so many men have been damaged by a biased family court system.

Prominent Feminist Say Blacks Should Wait 8 Years for Presidency

Article here. Excerpt:

"Letty Cottin Pogrebin was disappointed because Hillary was being over-shadowed by a "whipper-snapper" named Obama. She said Obama was inexperienced and not ready to be President and that he should wait his turn- say maybe another 8 years, but in the mean time what she wanted was Hillary Clinton in office as President for the next 8 years!

While a black man should wait his turn!

Why, women have paid a long hard price for this moment! And how dare a 'whipper-snapper' upstart like Obama upstage the long awaited crowning of woman! This is what all women have been waiting for! Waiting and working hard for the opportunity to choose a President who is not a white male! But NOT a black man! This is NOT what the feminists wanted when they said they wanted a choice! Waaaaaaaaaah! Not a black man! (Cry some more here)

Just when a woman is about to win for once, then comes the first black man! Heaven forbid! Or, did heaven sic 'em on her?"

Campus paper article: "Feminists lose sense of objectivity"

Article here. Excerpt:

"In one of the most popular cases of the new feminist agenda, the New York City Fire Department was sued by a woman who claimed that the physical examination to become a firefighter was too taxing for women. She won. The FDNY was forced to create new physical testing tailored toward women so that they may be allowed easier access to the profession. Here, the goal of feminists to kill objectivity is clear. They are not concerned that tests of that nature are specifically devised to make sure, for example, that one would have the ability of pulling a 200-pound man out of a building and down a ladder. To these feminists, the safety of citizens was second to gender representation."

Mother charged with murder of her three children

Story here. Excerpt:

'A New Cassel woman was charged Sunday with killing her three young children after years of family members' efforts to remove them from her care.

Nassau police charged Leatrice Brewer, 27, with one count of first-degree murder and three counts of second-degree murder for the deaths of Jewell Ward, 6, Michael Demesyeux, 5, and Innocent Demesyeux, 1.
...
Brewer will be arraigned Monday either at her hospital bedside or in First District Court in Hempstead, Smith said. Doctors will perform mental and physical evaluations to determine whether Brewer, who friends and family members said works part-time jobs as an office assistant and as a cashier, is well enough to leave the hospital or whether she should be transferred to a psychiatric facility, Smith said.
...
Brewer's grandmother, Maebell Mickens, said she was trying to take legal custody of the children from Brewer. And the father of the two younger children, also named Innocent Demesyeux, said he "tried his best to take them away."'

Steroids: Growing problem among girls?

Video report here.

It doesn't take long for the MSM media to take an issue that has a negative effect on men and somehow turn it into some new crisis among girls. It seems the importance of one girl on steroids is the equivalent to a 1000 boys taking the drug.
