Woman jailed for infecting lover with HIV
posted by Matt on 11:25 AM June 19th, 2006
Inequality AngryMan writes "A London woman has been jailed for 32 months for deliberately infecting her male partner with HIV. Somehow, I think a man would have got longer."

As usual, we immediately see someone jumping up to defend the villain when it's a woman.

"We seem to be back in the bad old days at the beginning of the epidemic when HIV had to be someone's fault." Deborah Jack, Chief Executive of the National AIDS Trust

However, I was surprised to see this statement from the judge which seems to break the gender empathy barrier, (although the sentence didn't).

"The one person who he loved had lied to him time and time again.

"It was her cruelty and dishonesty that made him feel worthless and after that he had had suicidal tendencies."

The case sited in the above link shows somewhat more egregious bahavior by the perpetrator, than the case being discussed in this thread; but isn't murder murder?

Click here to get to the story without having to type all that out (quetzal, the problem was the line break in the URL; get rid of that and it works fine).

And it is unforgivable.

It is IDENTICLE in practice, to a woman knowingly sleeping with a man when she is ovulating. Women track their cycles for 2 reasons - knowing when they are going to make a mess in their pants, and knowing when they should or should not have intercourse.

Some women have no soul, and cunningly bed men when ONLY THEY know what time of the month it is.

And we reward them with child support, health benefits, food stamps, housing subsidies, child care, tax breaks and educational grants.

This bimbo will walk in 16 months and be free to spread HIV to others. Surprisingly, some US states still don't have laws on the books for knowingly infecting unwitting partners with HIV. To see your states laws, click Here

Check this out: there already was a man convicted for a similar deed, and he got 4.5 years:

(there seems to be a problem with links in the comment system, strip any whitespace that might appear in the above URL).

It's a bit hard to compare the cases because he was convicted for GBH and not under the new law. But I think the "female bonus" is once again obvious enough.
