Afghan Convert was also Seeking Child Custody when Arrested
posted by Matt on 12:02 AM March 30th, 2006
News This BBC news report adds a critical missing piece of information about the recent story regarding the Afghan man who, after converting to Christianity, was held for trial on charges of apostasy. It appears as if he had converted sixteen years ago and had left Kabul, but returned from the Panjshir Valley to try to get custody of his daughters. Only then after his relatives complained was he arrested for the crime of choosing his own "unacceptable" religious beliefs! This important piece of information of course only comes toward the end of the report, so read the whole article.

Could it be that this Guy was doing what he was doing with help? I mean he new the Islamic laws, he is an Afghani. He left his country and returns and tries to get custody of his Children. Seems like more fuel to the fire. Something to raise the ire of not only MRA's but most conservative Christians as well. He also was quickly granted refuge in Italy, Rome perhaps? The crusades has traded in the swords and spears for media attention and subterfuge perhaps. Oh wait, we must not forget the active military activities of this current crusade as well. Iraq, Iran, whats next? To trade one dogmatic form of control for another doesn't seem right to me, if one were to study history neither form of ritualistic dogma based on manipulation has a very kind or pleasant history of treating their "subjects" with love and kindness. Just a thought.......
