The thought occurred to me that young black men today are like the proverbial "canary in the mineshaft" -- i.e. instrumental if disposable tools showing what feminism has in store for all men, not just the socially disadvantaged.
Can you imagine what your thoughts about your personal future would be if 60% of all the guys you hang out with are likely to go to prison?
There are some obvious and well-documented connections between what's happening to black men and what's happening more generally to all men --
* globalism and the decline of the middle class
* the destruction of the family via feminist laws
* school systems that agressively discriminate against boys (women rule all K-12 education now)
* court systems that criminalize men and deny their constitutional rights as daily practice
* the Domestic Violence Industry is a killing machine primed to harvest any/all men... just dial 9-1-1 and say ... "I'm afraid of Him!"
* The churches have become feminist camps. (I could be wrong .... quit going to church when I was 12 years old. Not a cult I wished to belong to...)
* All the white male reps in Congress vote 100% for feminist bills and issues...
But then, on a positive note --- it is the first day of Spring! ;-)

I do not know what it is like to be Black. I have lived with Black People, served with Black People, worked for Black People, and have Black friends. Part of the reason for the Black Males situation within the inner cities is directly correlated to the wellfare system. By removing the need for a Male within the home inner city Female youths opted for big brother as sugar daddy, and raised their Children in accordance with the directives of the state. This was far overshadowed by the numbers of white rural young Women that filled the wellfare roles across the nation by the way. They also opted for the state as sugar daddy, and raised their Children in accordance with the states directives. Wellfare Children of all colors have terrible statistics of crime, school drop outs, drugs, and the like. Serving the purpose of developing an over sized cottage industry of state and federal workers to manage these People. My Son in law is half Black, my two Grandchildren, both Boys are of mixed blood. My Son in law has a reading disability and has dropped out of the school system. My daughter is on state aid. I wrote a letter to the court in WI in my Son in laws behalf because he was being pressured by the state to pay back hospital bills for his first Child, while he was trying to support both Children. He got caught with pot, that he was selling to help feed his family. The whole system is oppressive, some are hit harder than others, but to the ruling class it doesn't make a difference what color you are if you are of the underclass. All People need to see the wisdom of working together so that we can all rise up to where we should be, no matter the color, or gender. Men are discounted due to their gender, some are discounted more becuase of their color, we all are discounted as commodities, because our purpose in life is to make the elite comfortable, no matter what the cost. It is tougher in the inner cities for all poor People, and yes Black people do suffer worse in the inner cities of the eastern seaboard, and the midwest. Don't know about the disparity of the west coast with the Hispanic People as they seem to get about the same. But again, we need to work together, for divided we fail.

Oh hell Roy, I quit worrying a long time ago! But there is some truth to what you say. I have had some very interesting circumstances happen to me. I thought I was a Patriot, and a good Citizen! But you know, seditionist doesn't sound to bad!

The last sentence of the article was telling:
"We spent $50 BILLION in efforts that produced the turnaround for poor women," Mr. Mincy said. "We are not even beginning to think about the men's problem on similar orders of magnitude."
Over the last two decades, the number of grrrl power programs in the schools, community centers, gov't centers and social programs has been overwhelming, bearing precisely the fruit the feminists intended: a two-tier community based on gender. They have taken a segment of society, gave one half of it support, inspiration, assistance,...and legal power, then sat back as their experiment ran its course. Today, a knocked up black female teen has more resources available to her than her chaste, studious male counterpart. Experiment a success!
This new world order was foisted upon the most vulnerable of Americans—young black boys—but its implications for the larger American landscape is undeniable. Black males are, indeed, the canaries in the coal mine. The feminist mantra is "It's our turn to now [to rule]," and make no mistake, they are as serious as cancer about this goal and will accomplish it by any means necessary.

Welfare and Soldier Production
Like cattle, welfare babies, mostly black, are bred for a purpose. The female babies are coddled by welfare programs, and taught to become unwed mothers. Their purpose is to breed, to produce more and more welfare babies. The male babies don’t have it so easy. Unlike their sisters, they are not able to spend their entire lives on welfare. The State makes this so. At the age of 18 their only hope in life is to join the service. The school system makes sure they aren’t educated well enough to get any kind of a job. Their purpose is to be cannon fodder.
What this country needs is a group of people who are stupid enough to risk their lives for “The American Way of Life.” Our leaders know this, and they produce legislation designed to manufacture these people.
Step one is pregnancy, the more pregnant welfare women out there the better. So how is this accomplished? Glorification of sluts. Yes, I did say sluts, you know, the Brittney Spears type. Let’s face it, she doesn’t sell talent, she sell sex. Anyway, one of the media’s goals to loosen up the chastity belts of America’s youths. Sex is cool, everyone is doing it. Let’s hand out condoms so the kids can take a trial run. Oops, she’s pregnant,... feigned surprise.
Uh oh, another pregnant teenager, what are we to do? First things first, FREE HEALTHCARE! Yup, that’s right get her signed up, can’t expect her to work now can we, after all, she’s pregnant.
Now it’s time to go after the cause of all this. This, by the way, is the end game for the male-former-welfare-baby. Well sure enough, those condoms were fun in the beginning, but just as a candy bar tastes better outside of its wrapper, sex is better that way too. Not to worry though, she probably won’t get pregnant, yeah ok, sure.
It’s time to teach this irresponsible impregnating youngling a lesson. After all, he’s the cause of all this. If he had just used the condoms the high school was giving out. What? He dropped out of school and didn’t get any condoms, the little bastard.
Not to worry, we’ll just drag him into court and order him to pay child support. If he fails to make the payments then we’ll throw him in jail, with 400,000 other young men who couldn’t afford to pay either.
Ok, so now we have a young man, or more likely an old boy, who is damn near uneducated and has no marketable skills, but nevertheless has been ordered by the State to support “his” child. Keep in mind that likely he will never even see “his” child.
So it’s off to the local recruiting office. You know how it goes, “the few, the proud, the marines,” “an army of one,” “you’ll be eligible for college tuition,” “see the world,” “learn valuable skills so that you can work after you put in your time.”
In other words, join the army or go to jail kid. You fucked up. You fell for it, ha ha ha ha. Another sap to fight for “The American Way of Life.”
Let’s take a moment, what is “The American Way of Life” anyway. Oh, that’s right, kill the unborn children (1 out of 4 pregnancies). If the baby makes it past the abortion phase then separate it from its father. (1 in 2 births). Then criminalize the father, i.e. “grant” custody to the mother and order the father to pay child support.
“The land of the free and the home of the brave” – except that the United States had the highest incarceration rate in the world. Freedom? I think not.
What a great system!

You are correct as to the breeding process, and the intent of same. But our modern military has a prerequisite of a GED I do believe. That is unless they use the draft again as they have been talking about. Either way the whole thing is a sham, has been since the beginning.

You make me look like Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz just as she's clicking her shoes together and chanting... "there's no place like home...!"
And what truly frightens me is that there's not a single hard-as-nails observation you've made that I could muster a decent argument against.
Time to renew my passport and get back to my shack in Carriacou!

All fine and well except for a couple things:
#1 The military doesn't want them. Not educated, not moldable, not well behaved. The coast guard doesn't even want them. Nor could they get any decent position in the services even with a GED. They would need a minimum of college credit hours (I believe it is 18 or 21? It may have changed) to secure anything other than rather unpleasant support roles. (Cooks, infantry, cleaning crews, laundry.) Even these 'support' roles are largely disappearing as more & more of these services are being outsourced to private contracting companies like KBR.
#2 Athough a large portion of the military is made up of minorities, the "cannon fodder" as you speak of, the people on the front lines in combat positions are overwhelmingly whites. 87% in fact, far more so than their numbers in the population.
I've heard this speel enough times to look into it, and like a lot of such claims, its based upon wishful feelings rather than reality.
They do, however, allow a fast track service for Mexicans to gain citizenship by serving in our military, and many do. These make up the 2nd largest group of people in combat positions in our military in ground based services. (We have one of the few militaries in the world where noncitizens can serve). Years ago it was Filipinos filling this role after we kicked the Spanish out and took over. There are also a considerable number of Iraqis, and other ME expatriots serving in our armed forces, they were by & large professional soldiers for other armies, and expelled or captured during our other military incursions in the region.

Thanks for your input. I'd like to be shown that my theory is incorrect. Here's the reality to support my "wishful feelings."
Some data:
The percentage of black active-duty enlisted ranks by branch are: (ref. Defense Manpower Data Center)
Army - 23% black
Marines - 11.9% black
Navy - 18.9% black
Air Force - 15.0% black
The percentage of the US population that is black: (ref. CIA Factbook)
12.9%
According to this data blacks are over represented in the enlisted ranks in the Army, Navy, and Air Force.

I have not understood why with all the obvious discrimination against black males by the family court system the civil rights hustlers like the NAACP or Jesse"spit in your food" Jackson and the like haven't made this a cause.
They seem to obsess over alleged incidents of pieces of rope being tied into hangman's knots at places of employment to intimidate black workers and the like. But the obvious and destructive discrimination against black males by the child support racket and corrupt family courts doesn't interest them in the least.

Jesse et. al. will never take on this issue, because that would immediately pit them against black women with a vested interest in the draconian child support/exile-the-daddies racket.
And a black man up against a black woman knows he's gonna be called some very bad names, have his manhood assaulted, be publicly embarassed, "Ms. All That" even before he loses the fight.
Zero percentage in that play....

Growing up in Bed Stuy, there were 14 boys I used to hang with as a kid. They ranged from a young Turk 3 yrs. younger to "elders" 4 yrs. older than me. To date, only two have lived to the ripe old age of 55. Most never reached 50! If I survive for the next four years, I'll reach 60—some kind of record.
In the neighborhoods, one quarter to one-third of the clinics are for WOMEN........... and child. Black men are dropping like flies, yet the main emphasis in health and education remains—you guessed it—women.
Signing off now: One of my little brothers just had a heart attack.
