Major Bridge Blocked by Fathers-4-Justice Quebec
posted by Matt on 07:50 PM September 21st, 2005
Men's Organizations zerostress writes "A major bridge was blocked for 12 hours in Montreal by a FJ4 activist last Monday. It created monstrous traffic jams in the city and generated much controversy in the media. F4J Québec new coordinator Andy Srougy climbed the Jacques-Cartier Bridge today. He and F4J Québec want an immediate Royal Commission of Inquiry on the Quebec Justice Administration. Here is a story in the Montreal Gazette that resume pretty much the story."

i happen to live in the area :)

they want to put him in jail for life.

he just climbed up the bridge, installed a harmless BANNER and STAYED with it.

the cops closed the bridge, not the guy himself. the guy even said he would WILLINGLY come down if they agreed to check out the kinks and bugs of the justice system regarding family court.

but noooooo, the cops had to draw this out...ALL DAY.

and they want to jail him for life?!

at the very least they should have agreed, let him come down and not do what he asked. F4J would reach them again anyway but at least the bridge wouldn't be jammed all day.

also, some local columnist was saying something like "why didn't he start a press conference?"

assuming F4J is mostly composed of regular people and not rich celebrities or people with high studies, there is no way in hell the media would have let him do a press conference if he asked.

Yes. Well Canada IS a totalitarian socialist country that has been taken over by Marxist-Feminists with an agenda to jail all males.

What do people expect? These guys are heroes and they are being taken down by cold-blooded baby killing murderers.

You are right. Sorry if I gave the impression that the guy closed the bridge. It was the official position of F4J that the bridge should remains open. It was the decision of the authorities to close it down.

The cops lied to him by telling that a commission would be created and that is how they convinced him to come down. Some negotiators! So remembers that one next time.

Sorry - how do you jail someone for life for climbing a bridge and causing traffic disruption, albeit serious? Ludicrous.

That alone would suffice to back up the guy's claims that the Candaian justice system despises men.

No one wants to jail him for life, except for a few bitter people who were stuck in the trafic jams on Monday. Other than that, no one has ever said anything about that.

Do these "bitter people" think that that is a reasonable response?
