AFAIK, no law exists (or rule in Football) that punishes anyone for deciding at the last minute not to go through with a wedding. Hell, look at the movie "Runaway Bride" (or the hundreds of other movies with the same premise, but not title). Genders reversed, this would have been "empowering".

I wonder what the feminist take on this would be. On the one hand, this man has behaved unethically and caused anguish to a woman, which is bad, but it just goes to show what men are like. On the other hand, that woman has been spared from the sexual slavery and captive breeding that is marriage under the patriarchy, which is good.
Warren Farrell said "If a woman holds off from marrying we call it independence. If a man holds off from marrying we call it fear of committment"
Feminism will continue as long as there is money to be made from hating men.
