Ms Deering was speaking after a judge decided against jailing mother-of-three Karen Ellis, 37, for having a sexual relationship with a 15-year-old student.
I know a father of two in the US who got 25 years in jail for having consensual sex with a 15 year old neighborhood girl who liked to hang around his house and sexually tease him. So much for "equal justice under law."

Facts, please. Name of the person and where we can find more information. Anecdotes are quickly forgotten.

bad example, she was still 15 and he was an adult.Regardless if she was "tempting him" which is a classic pedophile excuse, he still made that choice.minors need to be protected from men and women, minors defined as under 17. A person under the age of 17 is deemed incapable of consent.Yes they need to have equal punishment under the law.

I thought 'minors' was defined as anyone under the age of 18, which would mean that 17 or younger is off limits.
