Nice to see that the victim's mother had some print-space to defend him. Shame the article had to speculate about possible abuse by the victim, but neglected to speculate about brain-washing by the ex-wife.

I saw this reported on the news on TV tonight.

They only mentioned that the 10 year old allegedly shot the father and that the mother had previously accused him of sexual abuse.

Note that in the article it states that in the divorce proceedings and subsequent abuse investigation, no evidence of abuse was found and the judge awarded the father equal custody, something that would never have been done if any evidence of abuse had been found. Also left out in the TV news, of course, was that the wife's mother testified against her in the divorce proceedings.

They just mention the unfounded allegations against the father, leave everything else out, and let everyone assume that he was guilty!

I would love to see these newscasters rot in hell. If it turns out that the allegations were false and the child killed the father because of the mother contantly bad-mouthing the father, I hope she gets prosecuted for murder right along with the child, only separately.

The mother should be prosecuted for not securing the firearm. I know parents in school shootings are sometimes prosecuted for this. It seems applicable in this case.

I thought it was interesting that the gun was taken by the mother imediately after the shooting.

It does sound fishy.

Yes. Sounds like mom and son (can anyone say "Oedipus Rex"?) conspired to kill dear old dad.

Why are men still doing this ridiculous thing called gettin' married and havin' kids? It is insane. Marriage is the process of picking and producing the people most likely to kill or assault you, esp. if you are the husband/father. This is aside even from "the usual" risks associated with marriage.

There ought to be a huge public campaign against marriage as being a hazard to public safety and order. I am dead serious (no pun intended).

Perhaps a pamphlet to be distributed to young men in high school and college might be appropriate. Something that describes how how we all have been screwed and how to protect yourself.

"Your mothers and grandmothers have betrayed you from before your birth. This pamphlet will give you a brief description of how you have been systematically disadvantaged and what measures (if any) you can take to protect yourself."

It seems in health and biology I some how missed two very important things. I dont think my educatiors were frank enough about it.

First off, somehow in health I missed the concept that sex makes children. Yah yah, they told us about how everything works. Somehow I missed the idea that having sex, is the same as choosing to have children(no matter what woman says). It was never put to me in frank terms like that. It wasn't until I was much older that I realised...

Secondly, I was mutilated. It seems like an outright conspiracy to keep me ignorant of this. Also it seems to go along with my first issue, in that male genital mutilation seems designed to make it easy for men to be manipulted into coitus, and fatherhood. I remeber I had a friend as a teenager, who wasn't cut, he always wondered why I was so sex obsessed. As it turns out that was done to me.

Finally, as part of sex education men need to learn about feminism. Again, I was kept ignorant of all the issues. How did I not know that femenism was encouraging women to get married and eugenically select different men to be the fathers of children??? Have extra marital affairs when their existing marriage did not meet their "needs" etc.

How have men been kept ignorant of the idea, that if a woman has the hots for you, it means she wants your baby?

Are you serious? Are you saying that men who aren't circumcised are not sex-obsessed? The fact that you were and your friend wasn't couldn't be attributable to any other factors?

Geez! Are you sure it wasn't your other head that was "mutilated"?

of how a woman benefits from another's act of violence. Maybe the allegations were true, maybe not. However, this boy will now have to live with the consequences of his action, and she will not.
