No More Than 6 Months In Jail For Woman Who Raped

News Anonymous User writes " "Tuifel was arrested in March 2002 after the boy came forward. Jury selection in the case began on Monday. The boy's family, however, had urged the prosecution to accept a plea from Tuifel, to spare the student from having to testify, prosecutor Joy Watson said." Article here."

The two sets of laws that govern our interactions. (Score:2)

For those governing men's interactions with women, the laws are absolutely draconic. Raising your voice in anger is enough to get a restraining order legally forbidding you to see your children. The laws which govern women's interactions with men, or even little boys, or even HANDICAPPED little boys, are so permissive as to allow women to just about get away with raping a blind 11 year old completely. Of course, if she gets pregnant from it, he will have to pay support thanks to the draconian laws governing him.

Notice also that these same principals apply to the way we socialize. A man saying something that could be interpretted as less than worshipful of all women everywhere will always be punished and to the full extent possible, (by shunning, insulting, verbally wishing extreme violence against the speaker, and sometimes actually attacked), regardless of mitigating circumstances. Of course, the speaker's "crime" will immediately be shared among all the women he might interact with so they too can participate in punishing the speaker. If years later, Anita Hill decides to sue you for using unapproved speach, all the others will join in with the list of things they remember you saying as well, doing their duty to help keep other women from being victimized by men speaking in a free, uncontrolled fashion. Meanwhile women are free to be as rude and disrespectful to men as they wish, as it's currently fashionable to be, (women who are assholes to men are idolized by others as "strong, strong women". Women who are nice to men are viewed as victims and weak), without fear of any but the most minimal social repercussions in only the most extreme cases. Sort of like the minimal legal repercussions given to the woman in this article for her most extreme crime.

This is an outrage. For downloading wanking material from the net, men have been sentanced to years in prison, yet, when a woman actually Rapes a young boy - she does not srve the minimum 5 years per count the state prescribes !

Surely, this can be taken to a higher court and an example made, after all, she was also employed in a position of Trust ?

Definitely. I am just glad that others are seeing this 'unequal' view of the two genders. It's difficult to live in a community where "evil" means males and "innocent" means female and there is NO dicussion.

Nobody is going to be making 'hot for teacher' jokes about this one, as she has the appearance of a heroin junkie.

Mary Kay Letournau started out with a three month sentence and probation, this woman is getting six months and probation. Is the difference too small to count as a change, or is the sentencing of women creeping up? Anyone know what men currently get for the same convictions?

Mary Kay LeTourneau got the SAME sentence (or there abouts).

Oh, and SHE was cheating on her spouse. Any Op-eds suggesting she be RUN OVER BY A CAR!?

It was like 6 months, a big block of PROBATION, and ordered not to see her (then) 13 year old lover (she was already pregnant I believe).

What happened?

She was caught with him in a car, windows all steamed up, and she was pregnant AGAIN.

Here is a quote from TIME magazine that I just got today:

"I wanted to see ... who she is and if she's still the same person that I fell in love with. And I want to see if she feels the same way for me."
---Vili Fualaau, on why he wants to see Mary Kay LeTourneau, his sixth grade teacher, who served seven years in prison for having a sexual relationship with him; it resulted in two children

Now, did you notice what I noticed?!

THEY NAMED HIM - the sexual assault survivor was named (and has been for quite some time Doesn't matter if he's over 18 (when he was originally named I read his name YEARS ago!). He's a sexual assault/molestation survivor.

Oh and did you notice the OTHER thing I noticed?

After a girl gets raped/molested she gets TONS of support (read:indoctrination). She is filled with hate and loathing at the person who betrayed her (and justly so, but I wish they would let her heal and move on....). She has constant reinforcement of her "victimhood" and when she doesn't there is ALWAYS ALWAYS some "advocate" to explain how predators use manipulation on the victim. ALWAYS.

And MKL was writing to her victim from jail, in DIRECT VIOLATION of her sentence. And she is now free. The press reports the letters, it's common knowledge, and she just walks free. This is proof positive that there is a double standard in molestation cases:

BOY DON'T MATTER, and let the predator continue contact.

Barf!!
