Men's Rights Activist or Total Nutbag?

	The EU-parliament has a member who claims that he represents men's rights. Here's an article on him. While the guy strikes me as a nitwit, the article does point out that the UK's current paid-parental-leave policy is two weeks for fathers and six months for mothers. Aaaaaah. Eeek-wallet-eeeee.

I'm not terribly concerned about him damaging the image of the men's rights movement, because we have far too many legitimate grievances. Besides, we're going to run into a lot of idiocy, so there's not much point in getting upset about it. Just move on. Anyway, I have to say, I've gotten a few chuckles over this character's antics. Where's The Committee On Men's Rights? (Score:2) by Luek on 10:24 PM July 23rd, 2004 EST (#4) (User #358 Info) The women of the European parliament today took revenge on Godfrey Bloom, the Ukip MEP, when they thwarted his attempt to join a committee devoted to women's rights. So why doesn't he join a committee devoted to men's rights? His time would be better spent. Oh, there isn't one? WHY NOT?!?!?! Promoting men's rights is desperately needed in today's decaying and dying Western countries and especially in Europe.

The only people i can think of who would fit in such a role is mathew o'connor and bob geldof.
