Baby room?
I dunno, doesn't sound like a place where any baby should be. After a year or two or say 5. . .kids being raised in prison???
Where is the dad, grandparents, reletives, foster homes etc???

Wasn't Inspector Javert born and raised in prison?
Anyway, I applaude the effort to humanize the prison system. Since more non-violent, non-criminal men are going to be spending more time in prison due to the dead beat dad hysteria and the infamous VAWA act then it should be made as pleasant and productive an experience as possible! More solid educational opportunities and professional state of the art health care would be a boon to relieving the damaged and decrepit state many men are in due to the radical feminization of society.
So, the more $$$$ spent on prisons the better. Less money for subsidized women's studies programs! :)

This follows the historical trend to provide social services for women (even in prison), but men get hard time, or the grave as solutions for their problems.

Ah yes, but this prison is only for WOMEN not men. I've never seen inhumane punishment as very productive either- there isn't even any psychological basis for it-- but the law should be the same for both genders in punishing breaches of it.
I don't know what prisons are like for men in England, but I'm fairly sure it's not like these.

So, I ask; Why don't we just send female criminals to DISNEYLAND, and just put male criminals down like sray dogs?
Oh, wait we already DO put alot of male criminals down like stray dogs...,
Well, the question still stands.

Yes, and women who murder their kids get special consideration for being "bereaved mothers."
