Ray Blumhorst Cited in ChicagoTribune Article
posted by Adam on 09:39 AM June 7th, 2004
News Roy writes "Frequent poster to MANN Ray Blumhorst was quoted in a "Commentary" piece by Kathleen Parker (6.2.02) - "Blindsided by Political Correctiness..." an essay regarding the damages done to feminism by the recent Abu Ghraib scandals. Ray's quote: "What happened in Abu Ghraib is no isolated incident, no abberation," wrote Ray Blumhorst... I have little doubt that all of the females implicated at Abu Ghraib will have little trouble finding jobs in the multi-billion-dollar VAWA (Violence Against Women Act) domestic violence industry, just as soon as American, gender feminist justice rationalizes away all their misbehavior." Look's like the femi-censors may have gotten to this version of Kathleen Parker's article, because this is all that made it into their paper.

"What happened in Abu Ghraib is no isolated incident, no aberration," wrote Ray Blumhorst for MensNewsDaily.com."

I've seen variations of this article in different papers, but the vast majority of them had the entirety of the quote Kathleen included. Buffalo really chopped it down, and look what they took out, all reference to the domestic violence industry. Seems like they just couldn’t handle the comment about the domestic violence industry in Buffalo. I'm reminded of Jack Nicholson's line from the movie where he plays a high ranking Marine officer. "Hey Buffalo, You can't handle the truth about the domestic violence industry!" There I feel much better now.

Sincerely, Ray

Activists in the men's movement - some of them victims of domestic violence - expressed no surprise.

A very good and balanced article. Kateleen Parker is to be commended. The statement above shows that she at least recognizes a men's movement and that men can be and are victims of domestic violence. Also, Ray's quote was right on target as always.
Maybe we should send Ms. Parker a complimentary T-shirt?

I know how you must feel, Ray.
As both a Men's activist and an Indian activist, I have seen my letters of protest chopped up untill they barely resemble what I origionaly wrote. Much of the time my comments are taken out of contence, or worse made to make me look insane or anti-white or anti-female.
But, unfortunately this is what we're up against. It will take alot of time and MUCH effort to get our message out.
We have to be like the river on a stone. We must run fast and steady and continuously, and eventually ANY stone will wear down.
The media, feminists and some women and men are the stones. We are the river.
We are mighty.

Amen to that.

Thanks, Ray

I do! Don't like the junk e-mail that comes with them.

So, there is this site at:

that searches for accounts userid and passwords already established.
I tried it with the Chicago Tribune site that requires registration and it worked!
