Marcus Dixon Update
posted by Scott on 08:11 AM May 8th, 2004
News TLE writes "Remember the 18 year old who got 10 years for "aggravated child molestation" for having consensual sex with a 15 year-old? Looks like the Georgia Supreme Court has thrown out the charge, allowing him to be sentenced for statutory rape instead. This is good news because it overturns the feminist judge's original rape hysteria ruling. Story here." Noteworthy is the fact that statutory rape has a sentence of one year, while the aggravated child molestation conviction got him a mandatory sentence of 10 years, of which he has served 15 months already. This could mean Marcus should walk free sometime soon.

Hey, I'm happy for Marcus. I remember this story well and thought the prosecuter was insane to ask for 10 years for breaking this girl's hymen.

The jurors have stated clearly that they don't believe this young woman who claimed it was rape.

Since it was ruled consensual, now it's time to prosecute that lying life-destroyer.

Nope, don't care if she's 15. To damn bad. Let her spend 10 years in prison. It'll save a lot of guys when there is a "chilling affect" against false accusers.

This story shouldn't be over.

This guy's life has already been ruined just for having consensual sex. Given how many black men are already in jail, putting another one in for this "crime" is idiotic. I think that a false accusation/perjury charge is worth considering.

I agree STeven. Throw the book at her and throw it hard. It will never happen though as we both know. Women are a protected class and the discussion is only about their rights and never about their responsibilities. The opposite is true for men.

I and about 15 other people wore this T-shirt at a protest in front of a large police department in a major California city, and I've worn it at other times when just shopping. If you want to change behavior, and attitudes you have to put just and right image(s) in their minds (IMO). I can attest that these images definitely do not go unnoticed when worn in public.
